Modern Deck Help forum

I've been working on improving my modern mono green deck any help would be nice even if it's just card mentions.

Creatures:

4x Fauna Shaman

4x Garruk's Companion

4x Deadly Recluse

4x Elvish Visionary

4x Noble Hierarch

4x Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary

1x Primeval Titan

1x Archetype of Endurance

1x Thrun, the Last Troll

1x Dungrove Elder

1x Vigor

Spells:

2x Harmonize

4x Vines of Vastwood

4x Rancor

1x Genesis Wave

Lands:

16x Forest

4x Dryad Arbor

Sideboard (unfinished):

2x Acidic Slime

1x Elderscale Wurm or Tree of Redemption

The idea of the deck is to use Fauna Shaman to fetch the big creatures depending on the situation. With Rofellos, Llanowar Emissary I'm able to cast any of the big creatures by turn 4 (if I get a land every turn.)

Vines of Vastwood to protect Fauna Shaman or any other creature from burn/kill spells or prevent my opponent from using spells on his creatures.

Genesis Wave is more of a mid/late game card. I mostly picked these bigger creatures because they have really good abilities that really make it hard to kill my other creatures.

I know generally mono-colors don't do as well as multi-color decks but I like the play style of green, bringing out big creatures with unstoppable force to smash my opponents life to 0.

Right of the bat: Roffelos isn't modern legal. So you either take him out or play legacy. Second, you never want more than 1x dryad arbor. Too many is just clunky.

Weird I must have overlooked that, I don't want to play legacy so I guess he has to go. Would you suggest replacing the 3 other dryad arbors for basic/non-basic land?

In mono colors basics and fetch lands are your only real options. However Treetop Village comes to mind. If it's a creature fetch deck you should use Chord of Calling and you can replace the elf legend with Elvish Archdruid

Don't let the red in there fool you, it's really a mono-green deck that has the option of playing Blood Moon and Lightning Bolt if the player so chooses.

By using Overgrowth, Utopia Sprawl, and/or Fertile Ground in combination with Arbor Elf and Voyaging Satyr, you can cast huge Genesis Waves or Tooth and Nail by turns 3 or 4.

Even casting Tooth and Nail for something like Sylvan Primordial can be absolutely devastating. Primeval Titan makes another great target because you can go get Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx or Kessig Wolf Run.
