Surviving My Own Deck

My Tergrid, God of Fright  Flip deck really takes a toll on my own life points so I'm looking for a couple good ways to gain life. Currently I have Twilight Prophet , Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Crypt Ghast but I'd like one or two more solid ways to recoup life. Any suggestions?

Eternity Vessel is always an option depending on how interactive your group is. Exquisite Blood is also an option.

Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose can get some life out of the stolen creatures. Whip of Erebos does it better. Dread Presence is great for lifegain, with a draw option, too. Exquisite Blood can get you life if you’ve got the money for it. Blood Artist could work if people are sacrifice lots of stuff because of you. Pontiff of Blight and Exsanguinate work well with lots of mana.

Oh! And Sangromancer is probably the best lifegain source you could ask for.

Depending on how "stormy" your turns are, Aetherflux Reservoir can be pretty useful. Also, Demon's Horn , Throne of Bone .

Blood Artist might get out early and give you a bit here and there. Every little bit helps!

Just embrace the life loss and run things like Repay in Kind .

I have a Tergrid build myself, and tbh, I don't run into the "Life problem" all too often. More often than not, I'm hated out by turn 6. :/ (Oh the life of a Discard Deck is a strenuous one.) However, I like the on theme method of life gain through Sangromancer , the anti-token strat of Revenge of Ravens , or the godly stacking of life gain from Life Chisel from those reanimated goodies.

Just pick opponents that are playing white

Mcat1999 - I run Repay in Kind in one of my favorite decks built around life manipulation, so shenanigans like that are super common. The best feeling is if you can get your life to 0, or even better a negative number, then play Repay in Kind . (Use things like Platinum Angel , Solemnity plus Phyrexian Unlife , etc). Trust me - way better feeling than casting it when your life is "only" at 1.

Since people keep mentioning Repay in Kind , I've gotta reference its big brother: Profane Transfusion . It's more mana, but can be more fun, too. It's also more flexible since you can boost your own life total or switch life around however you wish.
