Meet the Coalition!

  • Captain Jegantha - Heading up this deck, I've got Jegantha. Now, as Captain, he doesn't always have to move to the frontlines, he's more of a support for worst-case scenarios if you need more creatures or fixing and fit as a companion so there was no reason not to put him as head.
  • Liutenant Wrenn and Six - Together, these guys support the early stages and allow me to ramp significantly with the fetch lands. Also some minor removal for anything significantly small but annoying to deal with.
  • The Descendants of Draco - These boys is when it starts getting fun. The deck can consistently get these guys out for 2 mana which, for a 4/4 flyer, is good enough within itself. What's more, these guys begin to combo off nicely with some of the following Coalition members...
  • Kavu Footsoldiers - Ultimately, these guys are the stock-standard bread and butter. Like the descendants, they can consistently be at 5/5 and then act aslooting or graveyard removal as required.
  • Environmental Activists - In a five color deck, these boys help to maintain equal access to colored mana, not to mention enabling 'all basic land types' for the previous coalition members. If you have one working with our liuetenant they can really go off with mana ramp.
  • Air Support - Now the term 'Air Support' might be misleading. As great as a 4/4 flyer is, we can get them at 2 mana so these bad boys are mostly here to draw us more cards by casting some of the following coalition members to pop off. Removal on removal is also highly commended.
  • The Lackeys - These guys do the work to ensure everything is possible. Need some more mana? They got you covered. Need a creature that's all colors to achieve victory or slay using the descendants of Draco? These guys are your lackeys.
  • The Seer - A bit of a sideboard-mainboard card, our seer can be used in times of strife to address whatever issue he forsees. The five colors continue to combo off and he can also act as a distracting threat.
  • The Big Guns - Which brings us to our final coalition member, the big guns who leads us to victory. 5/5 flying for 5... neat. When it can also pop off your wincon to your opponent unexpectatly... perfection.

Now of course you will find all their various tools and gadgets they use to achieve victory, not to mention all the lands they travel across to do so. I hope you like this deck, playtesting has proved quite successful and it's lots of fun to play. I'm most certainly open to suggestions for sideboard tech, better removal options and new coalition members just keeping in mind the companion requirements of my Captian. don't forget to Upvote and comment if you like my layout and would be excited to see more decks like this! :)
