Grixis Delver REBORN

Modern Delver UBR (Grixis)

Froghog90

Sideboard

Oh boy am I glad to have this deck back! Played this a long time ago back when Tasigur and Angler were printed, and loved every second. However, as modern changed, I gradually yet begrudgingly admitted that Shadow was better. Now Lurrus, Sprite Dragon, and other powerhouses such as Force of Negation give it many angles to hit quick, stay safe, and be resilient. One problem especially with tempo decks is running out of threats or lacking staying power; Lurrus conveniently solves both problems by recurring threats and Baubles to draw many extra cards. Altogether, this deck feels like the strongest Tempo strategy I've seen in a while.

As for card choices--most of the deck I think is stock, aside from a few select card choices. One I've left out for example is Archmage's Charm. While very powerful and versatile, a deck that is trying to curve Thoughtseize into Sprite into Lurrus has its mana stretched very thin compared to other delver flavors such as U/R. In its place are a few more copies of disruption spells, heck I might even put a Kolaghan's Command in. Want to hedge mostly against Jund, Burn, control, anything in the fair spectrum.

Ask me anything!!
