This is my main modern deck which I had been building for the past few months. Originally it was control dragons with a lot of sorceries and instants to deal with the opponent's board before swooping in for the kill.

The main aim for this deck is to get as many dragons out as humanly possible. Obviously Dragonlord's Servant and Dragonmaster Outcast are a couple of the main mechanisms of enabling dragon spells and dragon tokens, they both help with the early and late game if you can protect the Outcasts with Unhallowed Pact or getting them off the ground with Fallen Ideal. A similar method can be applied to Brood Keeper and even Dragon Egg if you're feeling particularly cocky.

I've been told Avaricious Dragon was an odd pick for this deck but by the time I find/cast it, my hand is almost always empty and by the same token, I have a lot of mana out. Thus, whatever additional cards I draw, I can cast them without any worries. This same method can also apply to Sarkhan, the Dragonspeaker.

The bomb that can truly close out a game is Scourge of Valkas. Best case scenario is that you have a couple of dragons out such as Thunderbreak Regent, Kolaghan, the Storm's Fury and Boltwing Marauder, possibly even Dragonlord Kolaghan and/or Utvara Hellkite. A few Outcasts have made, say, four 5/5 dragon tokens. Drop the Scourge this turn and you do instantly 8-9 damage to a big creature your opponent has or directly at them. At the same time, the Hellkite produces a 6/6 token. Next turn if they didn't kill anything, the Outcasts drop maybe 2-3 5/5's. Scourge procs again to deal 13-14 damage. Guess what happens when every dragon on the board attacks this turn? Yup more dragons thanks to the Hellkite and more damage thanks to the Scourge.

I like to call it Delayed Aggro, and boy does it work at any stage of the game.
