Back in the day I ran the old Sliver Queen + Heartstone + Ashnod's Altar...and I still have all three cards. I want to integrate that old combo into this deck...but I don't think it would work. I also have Sliver Legion, and Sliver Hivelord, but again I don't know how to integrate them into the deck. They're cool, but I don't know if they will work.

I run Amulet of Vigor in my Sliver EDH deck for all of the lands that come in tapped. I understand not running it, but it has helped me many times.

I would also possibly suggest adding Amoeboid Changeling to take things with Sliver Overlord and a personal favorite Urza's Incubator to make Slivers cheaper to cast.

So I made a bunch of changes, fortunately I have pretty much all of the cards here save a select few. I'm really struggling with what sliver to swap for Amoeboid Changeling with, as it's a great compliment for Sliver Overlord the commander in the deck.

Is this deck meant for 1v1 or multiplayer free for all? I just wanted to know before I threw two cents in.

Here is my sliver edh (multiplayer oriented) feel free to pick and choose what you like from it.

It's meant for both single and multiplayer EDH, also two headed giant. I feel that the deck has alot of solutions to various problems, but I feel I don't have much in the way of providing support to other players if need be. I removed Dementia Sliver, which would give me the power to remove cards from other players hands in favor of Ward Sliver because realistically, Ward sliver is infinitely more useful.

I discovered Mind's Eye and realize that I need it in my life so bad. I'm more than willing to trade for it. I swapped it out for Staff of Nin

I upvoted my own deck, because...I like it. There. I said it.

So I only need to order Mind's Eye and Eldrazi Monument. Are there any cards that just seem too redundant? Anything I should swap out? People? Anyone?

So the Queen comes in. I have three Sliver Queens, so I have to use her. Have to. Might Sliver is a bit too redundant given that Megantic Sliver is in here. Sure, he costs one more mana...but Might Sliver is pretty much the same thing but not quite as great. In addition to the Queen, I have added a great deal of combo might with her. Specifically, I have added: Sliver Queen + Heartstone + Basal Sliver, and Sliver Queen + Channel + Darkheart Sliver. One combo grants me infinite slivers, the other grants me infinite life. So now I have two back up win conditions in addition to the Primary Aggro approach that my deck has. Not to mention that the Queen is a 7/7 for 5 with a great ability of helping me generate more Slivers. I hope with all of these crazy options this deck grants me that it will all work out.

Actually, I didn't realize that Channel was illegal in Commander. So I swapped it back out for Call to the Kindred.

Primary Win Strategy = Aggro Beatdown . There are so many slivers that just contribute to the cause Sinew Sliver, Predatory Sliver, Muscle Sliver, Sedge Sliver, and Sliver Legion.

Secondary Win Strategy = Infinite Slivers = Sliver Queen + Basal Sliver + Training Grounds Not much to really explain herSe, training grounds reduces the queen's ability to 1. She generates a Sliver token with Basal sliver in play and bang! the combo goes off. Sacrifice the one token for 2 black mana, use that two black mana to generate two sliver tokens. Sacrifice the two for four. So on and so forth.

Deck Comboes/Win Conditions:Double Life Gain = Essence Sliver + Syphon Sliver Let me explain: The ability Essence sliver holds IS NOT the ability known as lifelink. It's an ability that goes on the stack on only resolves after damage has resolved. Syphon Sliver's ability resolves as damage is being dealt.

Mind Control = Amoeboid Changeling/Unnatural Selection + Sliver Overlord This is pretty straight forward.

Further tweakings/Possible replacements

I'm considering incorporating Mana Echoes, but it's not cheap. I think i'll have it replace Call to the Kindred. While Call to the Kindred is nice, the creature that gets the enchantment will most likely be killed the instant the spell resolves. Unless i somehow manage to get Crystalline Sliver out first.

I'm also considering swapping out Chameleon Colossus for Bonescythe Sliver or Toxin Sliver. Bonescythe's ability is just amazing, and would contribute more to other creatures, as opposed to Chameleon Colossus being one big threat/target. Know what? Screw it. I'm swapping them out. I was thinking of maybe having Toxin Sliver in there, but I already have Venom Sliver. There wouldn't be any cumulative synergy like with Syphon Sliver + Essence Sliver.

Decided to add some removal to the deck. I'm definitely going to add more, but for now this is what i've got. I feel I need to cut back on some of my Slivers as some just weren't contributing that much to any of my win conditions (1. Aggro, 2. Sliver Queen combo). I feel that I need more removal, but I don't know what...

Its done for the time being. After multiple tests I think I can put my deck down. These are all cards that I actually own with 3 exceptions: Training grounds, Bonescythe Sliver, and Wargate. I'll just seek these cards out and buy them outright as they are not that expensive. The most pricey being Training grounds which is around 4-5 dollars. I've seen other decks which are very similar in build...but I wonder if any of those folk actually own all those slivers. At the last minute I decided to remove Essence sliver. Sure, Essence + Syphon = double life gain...but I feel it's not really contributing to ether win condition.

Yet another idea off the top of my head: Yawgmoth's Will. I just re-discovered this card a little while back, and was wondering if it would be worthwhile to include over Aphetto Dredging. Will is cheaper, and doesn't limit my access to just three creatures. The only stipulation is that I would have to play said creatures on the same turn. Geez I wish people would read this and give suggestions... Will vs. Dredging...what's better for this deck?

October 14, 2015 2:58 p.m.

battlesong72 says... #17

I think that Yawgmoth's Will is better than Aphetto Dredging as it gets the slivers directly into play and, if it's late game, it could net you more than 3. I'm really not certain of the purpose of the Force of Will here; I wouldn't run only one counter and, while it's a great card, I don't think it's that much better than Counterspell in this format

Hey battlesong72, thanks for posting. Now, to answer your question: Force of Will is in there because I have it. That's all. It's such an awesome card, and I just want to use it. But now that I think about it more, it doesn't seem to really hold much purpose. I think i'll just swap it out for Yawgmoth's Will. In an ideal world, i'd like to trade the Force for a Mana Drain. That card would be infinitely more useful to this deck. I'll just put the card up for trade, and see what I can work out for a Mana Drain...maybe I can toss in some other good cards and call it day.

Now, i'm considering cutting back on even more slivers. Specifcally Frenetic Sliver and Telekinetic Sliver. Both are great for the deck, but don't directly contribute to either win condition. Frenetic was included in order to try and save some slivers from Wrath of God, and Telekinetic is in there just to piss people off. What would you swap out for them?

Your land base should be more expensive :P

Quicksilver, I know! I'm actually working on that. I have a friend who played during the beta days. His cards are in storage, and i've been pestering him to try and get him to dig em' out. If I do convince him to let me go through his cards and take what I want i'll post the whole story here. I remember he did have at least one Dual Land. If he has more, better believe i'll toss em' in.

Consider Sliver Hivelord over Sliver Overlord as your Commander. Always having the ability to make your hoard indestructible is more valuable than being able to tutor creatures; mainly because since you are playing slivers, you will be targeted first, and Overlord can't tutor Hivelord from exile or the graveyard.

Sliver Queen + Urza's Incubator is also a good infinite combo, and cheaper to cast CMC wise (also makes Queen's ability free).

Get yourself a Screeching Sliver. When you go infinite, they won't be expecting you to mill their decks instead of attacking.

aceman67 Overlord tutors hivelord, and the slivers needed to protect it. It also gives card advantage which hivelord does not.

Also, urzas Incubator does not go infinite with sliver queen as you need to cast the sliver in order to get the incubators benefit, and the queen just puts them into play.

RoarMaster yep. Exactly what you said. Creature spells are NOT the same as Activated Abilities. Spells are considered cards played from your hand, the graveyard or even Exile I believe. Activated abilities are from cards that are already on the Battlefield.
