Due to the ban on Felidar Guardian in standard, the deck lost a lot of its core, so this is the new version instead!
This deck is heavily midrange that focuses on taking control of the game with powerful ETBs from Thought-Knot Seer and Fairgrounds Warden which become twice as powerful and devastating with Panharminicon. Since we're happy to look at our opponents hand we also have 2 copies of Failure / Comply which can prevent the enemy from doing what they need to do.
We generate card advantage by removing cards from opponents hand with Thought-Knot Seer, we draw cards with Rogue Refiner + Glimmer of Genius and play cards directly with Aetherworks Marvel.
Aetherworks Marvel isn't the big wincon in this deck, it's more of a value card that helps us get (more) ahead by giving us more stuff faster than our opponents which will also lead into locking them down and removing their powerful choices.
We have some good generation that allows for reliable Aetherworks Marvel activations for Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger combined with reliable sources for our big hitters Aetherwind Basker + Bristling Hydra.
We have AoE protection in form of Eerie Interlude which once again triggers our ETBs while allowing us to sweep the board at the same time with Fumigate.
We have some flavor cards in form of the following;
Call for Unity makes our smaller minions bigger and turns every creature into a threat, it's revolt mechanic is very reliable with both
Woodweaver's Puzzleknot
and Eldrazi Displacer
Vizier of Many Faces Is more than a dubble dipper, she's a tripple dipper as she can enter as any other creature, which means she triggers their ETB again (lovely targets are Thought-Knot Seer, Fairgrounds Warden and Vedrurous Gearhulk ) but when she dies, she's embalmable and able to do the same thing once again but on a new target if she so wishes.
Sideboard is yet to be constructed for the new deck.
Old Description Show
This deck is mainly a combo deck that utilized the blink mechanic alot.
It's a deck that gets going in midgame and has a strong lategame by both controlling the board and making sure the deck plays the way it want to play.
As i said, this deck uses the blink theme from cards such as Felidar Guardian + Displace and uses big ETB energy producers, then we add Panharmonicon to this picture and we get something really strong going and even some Infinites.
1. The Infinite Combo Show
3 Playing the deck Show
U want to start off by generating some amounts of energy to fuel mana providers such as Servant of the Conduit and Aether Hub, it'll allow u to easier cast ur spells as u have more colors of mana. Don't be afraid to spend it here as this is where the generating mostly come into play, rest of the energy is generated through the combo.
The deck has a rather slow start, so try to hold blockers and keep them safe if needed with Displace / Essence Flux and protect them from potential boardwipes with Eerie Interlude.
Get Panharmonicon out on the field as soon as possible, it's a key piece to the deck and gives u mad value from so many cards in the deck. It can turn ur
Woodweaver's Puzzleknot
into a 6 and activate ur Aetherworks Marvel to get further ahead in the game. This is also a why it's a good idea to blink the puzzleknot often with Felidar Guardian to keep ur lifetotal healthy and ur high.
It's important to not sacrifice ur
Woodweaver's Puzzleknot
unless it's needed or will enable something important as it needs to be on the field for the combo, acts as improvise cost for Metallic Rebuke and enables Spire of Industry if u havn't gotten any other artifact yet.
Eldrazi Displacer is a rather important piece in the deck, it's not crucial but it allows u to control the game until u hit ur combo. Keep in mind that this requires atleast 1 . This is why i have 1 Wastes in the deck, it can be picked up with either a Evolving Wilds or Attune with Aether so don't be afraid of grabbing it to enable ur little Eldrazi fellah. While both Spire of Industry and Aether Hub can produce that for u, they can also provide any other colored mana, so they're often more valueable than that.
4 Sideboarding Show
One of the major weaknesses of this deck is faster decks or decks that can go wider than u can cover. That's why i have 2 copies of Authority of the Consuls to both slow down decks with haste and gain urself life in the process. Keep in mind that Panharmonicon makes it trigger twice for extra lifegain which can be a reason to blink their creatures.
For singletarget removal we have Declaration in Stone and
Skywhaler's Shot
to take care of some bigger creatures if we didn't counter them with our 2 Metallic Rebuke from the maindeck. Permeating Mass is currently in experimental stage as i havn't been able to test it yet, but in theory, it can remove big threats from ur opponent and u don't care about transforming ur own dudes as u can just blink them to restore them.
Archangel Avacyn
is another good card to protect ur own creatures from both combat dmg and boardwipes while she also adds a strong body to the board.
I'd be happy to take any suggestions for cards that could be added. The main reason the deck looks they way it does atm is because i'm only using cards that i actually own IRL, but suggestions are still very welcome.
