Formerly Esper Bee Control splash green:I have recently built a Swans of Bryn Argoll deck in modern splashing green to throw Hornet Nest into the mix, and I really liked how it played. I then decided to try to find a home for the nest in standard as a main deck card. after trying and failing a few times, as you can see in my deck lists haha, i have decided that esper control with a green splash is the best shell for it. i just need help tweaking it. i have taken this deck to fnm and it worked better than i thought...even got the dream finish while i was facing down lethal. i had 2 Harsh Sustenance in hand and the mana to play both, 1 Monastery Mentor and 1 Hornet Nest on board, along with 2 monk tokens in play. cast the first sustenance targeting my opponent, triggering the mentor, after the token resolved but before the sustenance did, i cast the other sustenance targeting my nest. after that one resolved, i was left with 1 mentor, 4 monk tokens, and 6 insects. then the first sustenance hit dealing my opponent 11 damage and winning me the game. stuff like that is what i would like this deck to do consistently, which is where i need help. ive got other wincons, like the Dragonlord Ojutais or you know just beat face with the little flyers if i cant get another sustenance or something like that. but i need to make the deck as good as it can be, and from what i learned at fnm, im really weak against mono red. but thats enough about the deck haha, i need any and all advice you can give me on how to make this deck the best it can be.

FNM 6/12/15 First off, I had to take a modified version to fnm this week because my Brimaz, King of Oreskos hadnt showed up in the mail yet. so in their place, i played Ojutai Exemplars which didnt work out too horribly but still not as good as i think the brimaz would be. i would also like to note that due to the fact that there were only 10 players last night, we only had a 3 round event, but none the less, we had one and i got in some good testing. Round 1: Mono-Red. Game 1 was pretty cut and dry, bunch of early guys for him, durdling on my side. i lost pretty good by turn 4 or 5. Game 2 i was able to bring some new sideboard cards that i didnt have last week, that i put in there mainly for this matchup, Bile Blight and Arashin Cleric. i also brought in the Siege Rhinos cuz value, and i was able to take games 2 and 3 with well timed Harsh Sustenances and all of the life gain. 2-1 Round 2: Sultai Control/SuperFriends. Game 1, i pretty much played the control game after getting Thoughtseized on turn 1 and 2. holding back all of my counters waiting for something big, while all the time chipping away at his life with a monk token left from my Monastery Mentor that got Hero's Downfalled. eventually my opponent scooped after i countered his 3rd and final ugin. Game 2, i was just able to beat face with boarded in Siege Rhinos while holding up some counters along with the Negates i boarded in. 2-0 Round 3: Mardu Myth Realized/Control. this is a weird little brew, that i knew about, just forgot to modify my board to deal with. the entire deck is hand disruption, kill spells, Myth Realized, Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and Elspeth, Sun's Champion. game 1 i had nothing to do, except hope he had to anger away my board with consisted of 2 Hornet Nests and 1 Monastery Mentor along with 2 monk tokens. but nope, a Bile Blight to deal with the nests, and then the anger of gods took pretty good care of my board while all along pumping his Myth Realized i just died to the attack. Game 2 i won pretty quickly mainly because he was stuck on lands, and Siege Rhino is a hell of a card. but after he showed me his hand, i knew that i would have been fine if he had gotten lands. after game 2 he realized that it was just a 3 Rnd tournament and asked if i would like to split (he and i were the only 2-0s) so i agreed, and played game 3 for the odd pack, which he won due to me drawing nothing but lands which i thought wouldnt happen because i kept a 5 land opener haha. 1-2 Draw

Ive got one more week to do some tweaking before i take it to SCG Indy next week, and one more fnm to play test. hopefully there will be more people at next weeks fnm so i can get a more diverse group of decks to play against. im just really excited that i beat Mono-Red haha. that is the one deck that i had alot of trouble with. but still any other ideas or whatnot any body could give me on the deck would be greatly appreciated.
