Several Updates. A handful of cards to consider. —Sept. 29, 2021
Angel of Destiny replaced Felidar Sovereign. With haste enablers, I think this is a safer play. Even without, it's still better probably. Also less mana.
Added Metalwork Colossus to give myself more big sized creatures. I don't have a large sample size, but so far I find myself casting this for an average of 5is mana. If it's more, hopefully, Purphoros, Bronze-Blooded or Sneak Attack is out, but it's not the end of the world if they're not.
Angelic Renewal replaces Gift of Immortality. Not as much repeatability, but I don't think I need it and Renewal's flexibility of letting me choose when I want to use the trigger I think is amazing.
Akroma's Will comes in with the Sunforger addition. It does a lot of what this deck already wants to do. Flying and double strike for evasion and double damage, lifegain for shenanigans, protection to make creatures unblockable or hexproof, and indestructible for durability. Also with the Sunforger addition comes Mistveil Plains to cycle my instants.
A few haste enablers for free land slots Hall of the Bandit Lord and Hanweir Battlements Meld.
Vanquish the Horde comes in to replace Austere Command. My guess is it's going to be cheaper to cast than Command most of the time, and the flexibility I get from Command isn't really needed since most of my damaging boardwipes leave some of my creatures anyway.
Maybeboard options include several things that I'd like to find room for, but I'm not sure if they're going to fit.
Chandra's Incinerator should take the place of a removal spell, but I cant decide which one. Repeatable creature removal for what's going to be a maximum of two mana to cast AND its a 6/6 trampler at worst is really good.
Rionya, Fire Dancer produces at least one big boy per turn with the potential for more. I like this, I'm just not sure what to take out.
Twinflame I doubt I'd ever pay the strive cost on this, but I'm wondering if it's worth a slot to just say "pay 3 mana, make a dude, fling with Brion, pow." Definitely worth a test.
Fiendlash seems neat. If there's someone I can't swing into, I can swing into another player's chump blocker and deal damage to the other guy. Or I can just hold up blocks with it and it says "attack me you die" literally.
Light of Promise MIGHT replace Taurean Mauler or Nykthos Paragon. I just need to do more testing to find out if Taurean Mauler is bad late game, or if Nykthos Paragon is overkill. If the answer to either of those questions is yes, Light of Promise will go in.
I REALLY want to find a spot for Lukka, Wayward Bonder. It is a draw engine that feeds its own reanimation. While the reanimation package we have is efficient, it's very conditional. This would be some nice versatility to be able to reanimate whatever it is I want.
Let me know what you guys think.

BX223Hunter, Captivating Crew used to be in the deck, but it just takes too much mana to get going. If it were a cheaper activation cost I might consider it. But, if it makes you feel any better Captivating Crew was the LAST threaten effect to be removed.

griffstick, nothing in particular was cut for Captivating Crew. It was my last threaten effect in the deck before the massive update, so there were several swap-outs.

Have you considered Emeria Shepherd? It's great recursion and not a bad fling target itself. Also, Flameshadow Conjuring or Rionya, Fire Dancer could be fun. They let you get an attack in and then you can fling the token before the end of turn/combat.

Hi_diddly_ho_neighbor, Emeria Shepherd is too slow. If I don't have a Plains to play the turn it comes in, I lose SO much tempo. If it were to revive something upon entry, it might have earned a spot, but it used to be in the deck, and I was always underwhelmed when I played it. Flameshadow Conjuring has been in this list before, but I always found that extra mana to be a little lacking. However, since the deck has become more mana efficient, then it might qualify for a spot again. What would you suggest to take out? Now Rionya, Fire Dancer looks like some straight GAS. I am going to find a spot for this and hope that it's worth it. Although I will say, her and Flameshadow Conjuring might be competing for the same spot since they have similar effects.

That concern about Flameshadow Conjuring (the extra mana and high cmc creatures) actually came to my mind after suggesting it. In reality it is 2 extra mana since you need to activate Brion so I could see it being tough to pull off. As far as Rionya goes though, she is a blast. I actually have a whole deck built around her and it is super fun.
As far as cut's go, that is tough. This list is pretty tight as is. In you description you mentioned difficulty getting Felidar Sovereign wins, so maybe that one? Otherwise, Malignus seems like it could have a pretty low floor at times.

Well, I normally like to have at least one "you win the game" cards in my decks as an out if an opponent is stopping my strategies. So that's why the Felidar Sovereign, but I just found out about Angel of Destiny. OOOOOO BUDDY! That's essentially the same win-con but I don't have to wait a whole spin around the table. So, Angel of Destiny will probably take that slot.
You are kinda right about Malignus though. When it's come in late game, it's a mild bummer to not be able to finish someone off. It doesn't matter whether an opponent's life total is 40 of 4, it's always going to deal half. My one concern about that is that I'd be losing one of my bulky creatures. If I go too heavy on the copying effects, and not heavy enough on the actual hitters themselves, there won't be enough bodies to throw around. I'm not saying you're not right; I am saying if I do make the cut, I need to find some other bulky creatures to include in other spots.

Oh yeah, Angel of Destiny is great in this deck, just make sure you give it haste since it needs to have dealt combat damage in order for the trigger to go off.
That's a fair point about Malignus, and don't forget, it's P/T is half the life total of the opponent with the highest life total. So you can still one-shot another opponent if they have less life than that. I guess then I would look at something like Wayfarer's Bauble or Gift of Immortality. I rarely advocate cutting ramp, but you already have about 12 ramp spells, so cutting one of the weaker options is a possibility. Likewise with Gift, you have a fair number of reanimation options already that are better or cover a wider number of creatures all at once. You could probably get by without Gift.
Just an aside. I am a huge fan of Sejiri Shelter Flip in most white decks. I generally play it as a land, but in a pinch I can use it as a protection spell.

Yeah, I do already have 9 recursion effects which is more than the bulky creatures I have. Sejiri Shelter Flip would be fine, but the land side comes in tapped which I don't like.
Added Hall of the Bandit Lord and Hanweir Battlements Meld to supplement what haste I already had, since they're lands.

Not even one little threaten effect? That’s reusable? And on a creature? Captivating Crew
