Sorcery (4)

Planeswalker (1)

My new brew for Fate Reforged. I've been playing whip decks since RTR/THS standard. (I miss my 4c reanimators...) Feel free to comment and offer advice. I just threw the numbers of cards together, so I'll be tweaking those.

Don't know how I feel so much about 2 whips, but we'll see.

Still no third Anafenza, the Foremost and I'm thinking I don't want another. List was what the current one reflects. I cut Duneblast and a Thoughtseize for Drown in Sorrows.

R1: 2-0 Mardu Midrange Both games, the amount of removal I have main deck paid off. I managed to stall out to Hornet Queen with Siege Rhino and removal to basically win the game on the spot both games. Game two, my See the Unwrittens paid off, getting two Siege Rhinos is insane.

R2: 2-0 Mardu Aggro This was a low to the ground hyper aggro deck. I won game one with enough 4/5 blockers and lifegain from Siege Rhino, but it was close and I was at 1 life multiple times. Game two, he over extended into Drown in Sorrow horribly and that was game on the spot.

R3: 2-0 G/B Enchantress Game one was tense because all he needed to top deck was Ugin, the Spirit Dragon and I would have been out of the game. He didn't and after trading Hornet Queens and a few See the Unwrittens, I was able to kill him before he stabilized. Game two I mulliganed to 6 and he to 4. I had a good hand and played my threats while he durdled. The first See the Unwritten won me the game. I don't like this deck too much, I feel it's inconsistent and a lot of cards are time sensitive. Import to note Whisperwood Elemental's manifest guys are colorless. I ended up boarding in one more so i could have a board presence after an Ugin, the Spirit Dragon wipe.

R4: 2-1 R/W Aggro So, I won the two sideboarded games because he didn't have a sideboard. He said it wasn't a big deal because of the power of the deck, but wished he had a few cards like Erase and more Valorous Stance. I feel I got lucky in this match up because I got a Whip of Erebos both games when I needed it and close to death. So luck and maximizing the value off every card I played, I managed to pull out both sideboard games.

Closing notes: I honestly think See the Unwritten breaks the midrange mirrors. I wanted to try something that didn't hinge of Whip of Erebos. It seems to be working, but I haven't played enough and in enough high level events to know how strong the deck really is.
