Let's Go! Massive Multi-Shadow Clone Jutsu!

• A Simic ({U}{G}) colored shell using copy-cards to create multiple copies of our winning creatures.

• This deck is an amalgamation of several types of concepts. Not to be confused with my former concept, Shadow Clone Jutsu.

• This deck is heavily influenced by and fused with the former 'Enamored Rotpriest' build.

• What follows hereafter is both a nod to Naruto and the extended universe, and also just a really long love letter and obsession with Venerated Rotpriest.

Theme

An Infatuation Turned Toxic

• This shell is Mono-Green ({G}) comprised solely as a focus on Venerated Rotpriest, and winning the game by self-targeting with perfect green spells.

• Post (1st) shift, this deck is a Simic ({U}{G}) colored combo deck in the Modern Format.

• I'm uncertain of where the list will fall into its favor as meta, but my inevitable intention is to find a format where it's not blown out of the water every single time. As a mono-colored shell, that's a steep order.

• This deck was initially constructed as a Mono-Green ({G}) shell revolving around Venerated Rotpriest.

Demanding a Seat on the Council

• This deck was formerly a monstrosity crafted for modern, in Simic ({U}{G}) colors.

• I looked forward to trying to snap this deck into pieces and shattering the meta with potentially the coolest thing I could've crafted for Venerated Rotpriest.

• (there was a time-frame where I was utilizing Simic based pieces to capitalize on executing this combo style deck. It just didn't hold my attention well enough so I moved onto other tasks and projects.)

• The intention now is to have as much fun deifying my favorite one-drop green creature.

Construction

• The deck will focus on core fundamentals of deck construction in order to win: Draw more cards, play more spells, have more bodies.

Protection

• Tamiyo's Safekeeping is literally acting as a placeholder until Legolas's Quick Reflexes is registered in the database.

• Royal Treatment is a protection for turn that makes it harder to hit our Priest at a later time.

(after changing this list to Modern formatting, we gained a lot of access through our second color, blue.)

• March of Swirling Mist operates as a perfect Blue Burgeoning Life; you phase out each target which ideally would be everything you target normally, but also maybe Ivy, Gleeful Spellthief.

Draw Power

• Audacity serves to provide Trample on entry, a poison counter, and then to follow some Draw upon leaving the battlefield.

• Bequeathal functions more towards all gas, no brakes; we receive two draws if it hits the Grave.

• Explore holds a similar spot in that we provide some more resources and net an extra draw.

(Explore ended up making the list in Modern! Who'd have thought?)

• Prologue to Phyresis is hands down the best choice for Draw and relevance to concept, considering that we'll need to reliably refill our hand and net more poison counters.

Tutor and Fetch

• March of Burgeoning Life is our core cast member because we go fetch another priest to keep the gravy train rolling.

• Green Sun's Zenith works wonderfully because we can fetch another priest or pull a Dryad Arbor onto the field.

• Natural Order in tandem with a Dryad Arbor is a great way to secure a priest to the field.

Vintage Prowess

• Oath of Druids literally translates in my deck to go get another priest.

• Fastbond is a typical Vintage way to pump a lot of value out really fast.

• Manabond is kinda lackluster here and will likely be replaced with Mox Emerald.

• Channel facilitates dumping my life total into playing out my hand.

(this tab isn't relevant any longer but the Vintage parts are still fun to remember in case something really wild gets printed for such an event.)

Discussion

• this list has evolved tremendously over time and it has only been a couple months since I've last touched on it.

• I had sat this one aside in hopes to revisit when it became relevant due to some card release.

• when Bloomburrow (2024) spoilers wrap up, I'll make sure to update fully and detail why this idea has come back to the forefront of my mind. I think it'll be tight!
