I am looking to build Angus Mackenzie as a competitive edh/2hg , can someone post some stables since the last few decks were last touched in 2011-2013. Maybe even give me a link to your angus mackenzie edh deck. Please and thank you!

Just build fort shit and annoy everyone. Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, Sphere of Safety type shit. Hell, even stick in Standstill if you want haha.

It's turbo-fog. Run shit loads of sweepers, Fog effects, and then make run some sort of infinite combo not involving combat damage (Deadeye Navigator and Palinchron plus Blue Sun's Zenith or something). I mean in competitive multiplayer EDH the name of the game is control/combo so go that way I guess.

Angus Mackenzie is a utility general, not a buildaround. You'll want to look at some Bant combos, and there are plenty available. and have good infinite combos, and brings some recursion-based combos through Karmic Guide and Reveillark. I'm not the biggest fan of Bant combos, though, so my knowledge isn't as expansive in this area of EDH.

If you are running him for 2HG, are you going in with a premade team? His utility is unbelievable given the colors, and if you are running a premade, it would be really easy to build a support deck.

I built this but it's not duel commander savvy. It's mostly great for multiplayer:

Angus and Friends older thread I know but thought I'd see if this could help. Abuse Deadeye Navigator and Rings of Brighthearth different ways while getting infinite mana several different ways. Planeswalkers to add utility early with finishing power later combined with Gilder Bairn or copying ability triggers infinitely with rings.

I general go superfriends, and it works quite well as long as there aren't too many players in the game. In a 2hg EDH game, it should work perfectly for you. Just be aware that the planeswalker route can and will prolong the games to an extreme extent, because you can abuse the planeswalker's abilities to go near infinite. But because it isn't infinite, you have to go through each and every step.

This deck I've had hidden for quite a while now. I haven't done any advertisement on my EDH decks.

Ive been toying with my Angus Enchantment Control deck. Been picking up lots of extra cards to play around with in this deck, but even as is it has been a pretty fun build.

I really like your deck, Greendawg81. It seems it would be really strong with Academy Rector and Omniscience.

Thanks, the deck has been really fun to play. I actually got Academy Rector in the mail about an hour ago along with Sylvan Library, Land Tax,Grand Arbiter Augustin IV and Minamo, School at Water's Edge so the list needs some updating. The deck can really go nuts once Omniscience is on the board but its a removal magnet. There are a few other ways i can cheat it out but they either benefit my opponents too much or are janky and inconsistent. Anything i can do to cheat it into play without benefiting my opponents is a welcome addition.

Great choices! I'd be happy to help:The enchantment deck is basically enchantment storm with Omniscience. Enduring Ideal is pretty risky but you can cheat Omniscience and/or Divine Intervention in if you ramp to casting it. Instead of Omniscience, you could use Lost Auramancers just like Academy Rector but it's slower at a much cheaper cost. Also, Khalni Heart Expedition is bananas with Burnished Hart and Land Tax . If you like card draw, Enchantress's Presence could be a good substitute for Compost and it's a little under $5. I hope this helps :)

yeaGO, any idea why I cannot see the card overlays in jettskawhirl's post? Is this potentially just something on my end or ...?

EDIT: NVM ... figured it out myself. Didn't think to inspect element before posting this.

Jettska, you can link a card by using double square brackets instead of using the long link code. It is demonstrated in the "Card Link" button on the list of buttons above the comment box.

Ahh, okay. My bad, I'm still getting used to using the forum/chat. I really want to use Divine Intervention now. I want to try to mix up my deck some. I've also considered running the Presence of Gond and Intruder Alarm combo but I wouldn't recommend it to people who don't like infinite combos. If you like state-based actions, then Enchanted Evening + Opalescence is the way to go. -shrugs-
