This deck is intended to be pretty simple. You have Thing in the Ice, which, if it flips, will do massive damage, but the deck isn't one dimensional, as it can deal damage with its other, flying creatures and burn spells. The deck includes a significant number of low-cost instants and sorceries, which accomplish a few difference goals: (1) Helping to flip thing in the ice; (2) Dealing direct damage to your opponent (or, in a pinch, their creatures); (3) Drawing cards; (4) Scrying to help control your draws; and (5) Pumping Delver of Secrets and Stormchaser Mage. This deck interacts pretty well with the opponent. Wizard's retort is a true counter spell so long as Delver (before it flips) or Stormchaser Mage is on the field. Overall, it is a fun deck to play. It won't beat tier 1 decks, but it is fairly competitive.

The deck performs much better now with all the opportunities to scry and draw. The deck isn't completely reliant on Thing in the Ice to win, which is nice. However, slapping one of those bad boys down in the first two turns sure does help. Overall, I'm happy with this budget build.
