The Great Meme

Every set, I usually end up with a bunch of cards I'd love to play but they can't seem to find a home. My solution? Just chuck a bunch of stuff into a deck and see how it plays! This is going to be a spice one, boiz.

The main engine of this deck is Life from the Loam , but obviously we can't have only one engine piece because Surgical Extraction and what-naught, so the main engine is fleshed out with the obvious Wrenn and Six and some other goodies. Graveyard hate is a pain, so this list also runs some nifty backup plans to meme people out.

Wrenn and Six works as additional Life from the Loam s to power land-based shenanigans. What shenanigans? these shenanigans. With Wrenn, this deck draws two cards per turn more or less. With Loam, three. Ayula's Influence gives one way to turn these lands into something more useful, as do Bazaar Trademage and Tectonic Reformation - which serve a similar function. Ore-Scale Guardian supplements the Trademage for flying beats.

This leaves some gaps though: How does this deck do disruption? Creature removal? Stopping degeneracy?

- For creature removal, look no further than MVP Molten Vortex . - For additional card recursion, Regrowth fits the bill - not Eternal Witness because this deck already has a glut of three-drops. - Lightning Bolt is a solid card overall and Swan Song is a wonderful catch-all for degeneracy. - Tireless Tracker adds even more value while giving the deck a nice plan B in the event of graveyard hate. - Beast Within helps in some specific matchups (Tron a little, against Rest in Peace a lottle). - Throes of Chaos is a meme and a half, but it actually doesn't nonbo with Swan Song since it makes a 2/2 Flyer in that cast. Cha-ching.

And, after all that meme-ing, we're left with this absolute masterpiece of garbage. Be sure to tell me what you think and if one of you brave souls tries it out, make sure to warn other wary travelers of your grievous mistake below.
