Standard of the Snake

Not removing the Copy Cat combo from standard definitely hurt the chances of new brews breaking into the competitive format, but I do believe Amonkhet did provide some tools to give legs back to the GB Snake archetype, predominately thanks to Manglehorn. In this build, I only have one Manglehorn in the main deck as a Traverse the Ulvenwald target, but that is probably a mistake. For you see, Manglehorn is good against every Tier 1 or Tier 2 deck currently. Not to mention a bunch of other great cards available to play the field. Ishkanah, Grafwidow and Mindwrack Demon can tangle with Heart of Kiran and Glorybringer. Grasp of Darkness takes out Felidar Guardian, Heart of Kiran, Glorybringer, and Gideon of the Trials when he's a creature. Walking Ballista stops Saheeli Rai and is a general nuisance. Plus, all our large trampling creatures are really good at mowing down planeswalkers in general.

Versus Vehicles:

Manglehorn blows up Heart of Kiran and Scrapheap Scrounger and causes the scrounger to return to the battlefield tapped where it can't crew the Heart (which also comes into play tapped which could be relevant in defending a planeswalker). It also potentially forces them to cash in Walking Ballista at the time of your choosing. Out of the board, we get Fatal Push to push around it's aggressive creatures.

Versus Copycat:

Manglehorn does a poor man's impersonation of Thalia, Heretic Cathar against the artifact copy cats and Thopter Tokens. Out of the board, we also get black's (better?) Authority of the Consuls in the form of Trespasser's Curse which can do a lot of damage against other blinking and token shenanigans.

Versus Temur Tower/Control Variants:

Manglehorn eats Dynavolt Tower and torrential gearhulks as well tapping them down their first turn to prevent immediate eating of one of your dudes. Out of the board, we have Prowling Serpopard to stunt counters and Blossoming Defense to protect it.

So, do you think standard is at least a three deck format again?
