The ideal hand would play as: Turn 1 Thallid Turn 2 any 2cmc fungus or any 2 1cmc Turn 3 Thelon of Havenwood - Makes first thallid a 3/3. Equip Rancor now you have a 5/3 with trample.Turn 4 Sporesower Thallid First Thallid is now a 6/4 with trample. Turn 5 At this point you should have a 8/6 with Trample. Also a 6/6 possibly more depending on your turn two and adding a Rancor here would make 2 8/6 with trample. Another Sporesower on Turn 5 makes things nasty quick with each fungus growing by 3/3 per turn after turn 5 exept for the Sporesowers would only get 2/2 per turn. So turn 6 would looks like this Thallid is a 13/11 with trample, Say turn two you casted a Vitaspore Thallid it would now be a 12/10 with trample, the first Sporesower Thallid is now a 7/7, the second would be a 6/6. Turn 6 swing for 38. 1/1Saproling Token production is something I only do in cases where I would sacrfice it for activated abilities or if a creature dies or otherwise leaves the battlefield. This deck is really fun to play for me. But wouldn't those Doubling Seasons be nice? If you like it show me some +1 love.
