Sideboard

It’s nice to know that Gabriel Nassif is a fan of my brews.

Seriously though, I built this deck not long after Modern Horizons dropped, and was informed a while later that Gabriel Nassif had put together a surprisingly similar deck, the major difference of course being that his version was Bant, and used a taking turns strategy that incorporated Eternal Witness and Time Warp to win. I decided to iterate on that list, but keep my deck Azorious in an attempt to make it a little more consistent, using Archaeomancer in place of Eternal Witness to recur Time Warp .

Broadly, the deck uses Soulherder and Ephemerate as well as a few others to aggressively flicker your own permanents and abuse their ETBs to gain loads of card advantage in order to disrupt and outlast opponents. As someone who generally doesn’t netdeck too much, I’m ecstatic to have come up with a homebrew that can hang with meta decks, even a little bit. If nothing else, this deck is very fun to play and is great sequencing practice. Would love any suggestions or criticism.
