A mashup of Turbo Depths from Legacy and Jund Death's Shadow from Modern. It's like putting peanut butter on a hamburger: it sounds weird but it's f***ing amazing (don't overdo it with the peanut butter).

Just to be clear, this deck falls prey to some of the same hate as normal Turbo Depths, such as Ensnaring Bridge. But sometimes you have a 20/20 and two 8/8's on the board, and it feels amazing. Like peanut-butter-on-hamburger type of amazing.

Sometimes the deck struggles to get delirium for Traverse, usually because there's no creature in the yard. So you should feel free to use Traverse to get basics if you need them, particularly in games 2 and 3 when your opponent may have brought in graveyard hate (which is not a bad thing, this deck is not heavily graveyard reliant).

The 3 Depths and 3 Stage may seem odd, but the diversification of strategy makes it work. Sometimes you cast Crop Rotation to chain together Overgrown Tombs and get a Death's Shadow down turn 1.

Turn 1 delirium also happens occasionally with Street Wraith, Gitaxian Probe, and Petals/Baubles, letting you tutor for whatever part of the combo you need: Depths, Stage, or Hexmage. This is a distinct advantage over versions with Sylvan Scrying and/or Into the North.

The sideboard is a work in progress, adapt it as you see fit. I am a fan of Sylvan Library in grindier matches since it helps lose life for Shadow and we have more fetches than traditional Turbo Depths to shuffle away cards we don't need. The Pithing Needles are not entirely necessary, they may be better off as Duress or Collective Brutality.

Edit: For extra budget concerns, Urza's Bauble works in place of Mishra's Bauble (we'll see how low the price goes after IMA). They both play well with Cabal Therapy, which is another card that is worth testing.

Ramunap Excavator has been underwhelming in the maindeck so far, might try replacing him with a consistency engine in the main such as Sylvan Library.
