Schnappi Schnappi Scnappcaster Mage
This is an Izzet Tempo deck. The tactic is to play a Delver of Secrets
or a Young Pyromancer in the early turns, then burn and counter your opponent's stuff while beating them down.
Beatsticks
Tempo needs a couple of creatures down in the first few turns in order to get damage through whilst it controls the field.
Delver of Secrets
is the epitome of a beatstick. 3 damage in the sky on turn 2 or 3 is nothing to be scoffed at.
Young Pyromancer is a nice 2/1 body that churns out tokens over and over.
I guess
Mutavault
counts as well. It's a 2/2 that dodges board wipes and can tap for mana. Nice resilience and a decent body.
Removal
An important part of Tempo is keeping your opponent's board clearso that your guys can swing through unhindered.
Lightning Bolt is Lightning Bolt is Lightning Bolt. No more needs be said.
Vapor Snag can get rid of creatures that are out of burn range, and comes with 1 damage attached. Can also save my own creatures if needs be.
Electrolyze can potentially 2-for-0 your opponent is you knock out 2 of their critters. If not, it's 2 damage to a creature or the face with no loss of card advantage.
Grim Lavamancer is Shock on a stick. Either eats removal or is removal.
Disruption
Remand is effectively a Time Walk in the earlier turns. Perfect for a Tempo build.
Cryptic Command does everything. It counters, it bounces, it cantrips and it taps stuff. That's basically all you can ask for on one card.
Vendilion Clique is an instant speed blue Thoughtseize with the added bonus or being a powerful evasive beatstick.
Utility
Gitaxian Probe lets me see what my opponent is planning, gets a free trigger for Young Pyromancer and helps me dig for the stuff I need.
Serum Visions has awesome synergy with Delver of Secrets
and helps me plan my next few turns in advance. Note that you should always crack your fetch lands before you resolve this.
Snapcaster Mage basically reads "until end of turn, your graveyard is your hand". He's an extra 4 copies of whatever I need most, with a 2/1 body to boot.
Sideboard
Cryptic Command comes in against Control and some Midrange decks as it gives me more firepower in the late game.
Grim Lavamancer comes in against Aggro and KikiPod to kill of their critters early.
Grafdigger's Cage is the best sideboard against Pod by a long way.
Hurkyl's Recall is for Affinity, obviously.
Sowing Salt
smacks Tron right in the nuts, then doesn't even apologise.
Spell Pierce is for creature-low decks.
Sword of War and Peace hurts American Control due to the protection from its removal and the large amount of damage due to the opponent keeping cards in hand.
Threads of Disloyalty
doesn't look particularly impressive at first, but Tarmogoyf exists.
This is only a rough draft of what the deck will look like. Any suggestions are welcome, and don't forget to +1 if you like the deck.
