After messing around with mono white prison control, I thought it would be interesting to alter it and try to make it move viable in the current meta. The main theme of the deck is the same, but there's some slight tweaks and variances from the versions people are used to seeing. (This version still needs to be tested)

For those of you who are unfamiliar with Mono White Prison Control, the main goal of the deck is to make people hate magic. Your opponent can't attack unless they pay mana, your opponent can't target you with burn spells, your opponent has no graveyard, etc. The main win conditions of the deck are to do as follows:

This deck does very well against Burn decks, mainly because it has four copies of Leyline of Sanctity in mainboard, but it also works well against creature decks provided you get a ghostly prison out. Its main struggle is getting past control decks, as white has no real methods of countering spells (Mana Tithe is literally the only option). It also struggles against Chalice of the Void, because once the opponent plays one with 3 counters on it (which is very easy for eldrazi), you may as well scoop. I'll go over that last bad matchup later.

Let's point out the cards that aren't in a typical Prison Control deck, but are in this one:

Main Board:

Side Board:

I'll go over these one at a time.

Rise of the Hobgoblins

My reasoning for this card being in the deck is the simple fact that there is a large amount of devotion in this deck. Perfect for producing a small army, wouldn't you say? The second ability also has some uses defensively.

Blue lands

Blue mana allows me to run various sideboard cards, such as Supreme Verdict. I prefer this to Wrath of God because it's near impossible to avoid counter magic, so uncounterable boardwipes are a blessing. Blue mana also lets me play Celestial Colonnade, a very useful man-land.

Solemnity

This card piqued my interest the second it was spoiled. It has uses in standard, commander, and I believe it will be useful in modern as well. This shuts down infect, Chalice of the Void, any methods of +1/+1 counters (looking at you, Steel Overseer), and combos with Phyrexian Unlife because of the anti-infect uses. For three mana, this should be a relatively decent sideboard card. If only it removed counters as well...

Overwhelming Denial

The main problem this deck has is counter magic. Soo why not throw in some counter-counter magic? Overwhelming Denial is something I hope will be useful in this deck, as its main purpose is not to hard counter anything, but to allow the main cards of the deck to get out safely. If necessary, it can be used to prevent a powerful card from being played, but in general I plan to use the surge cost to safely play whatever spell I need to.

Ghost Quarter

The purpose of this being in sideboard is that it's meant to be swapped with Celestial Colonnade whenever you face a deck like Eldrazi/Tron. Shutting down Tron early means they can't get Chalice of the Void out with three counters, shutting down most of your deck. This will typically also get sided in with Solemnity against Eldrazi/Tron, but it's not necessary to side in both against most other decks.
