A spell that has it's cost cheapned acutally has the same converted mana cost. Nice deck, and if I missunderstoid your Important Rullings section please let me know :)

Thanks, i totally flipped something with alternate costs and CMC. These rules do sometimes get wild. Edited and thanks for feedback.

I would not run Temple of the False God considering you only run 26 lands. Just put a mountain there.

I was hesitating with the TOTFG, it's sort of a gamble, might give you a ramp or it's a dead card. In case of dead card, you can usually drop it with one of the filter cards like Magmatic Insight . Feel free to adjust and cutting it eventually! Thanks for the feedback and all the upvotes!

cool deck however I think the general is better off being the new Neheb, Dreadhorde Champion , you will gain a ton more card advantage, plus its crazy with all the wheels you have

Added him as an additional option to Chandra, nice one! Last that came to my mind, which can swing early for a kill with Haze of Rage was Hazoret the Fervent . Also i added Purphoros, God of the Forge , as another option, easy to score a win with Empty the Warrens . Awesome!

Dreadhorde Arcanist and Wild Ricochet seem like they would fit nicely somewere in here. Lol i almost accidentillay suggested an un card just called Ricochet hahaha

Let's see:

Dreadhorde Arcanist can't be pumped and i'm not running haste enablers. So he'll only be able to cast a few minor 1cmc spells. Best hit would be a turn 2 Wheel of Fate . That's not reliable, profitable enough. Also hitting a creature without an immediate effect while storming is troublesome.

Wild Ricochet is one of my favorites, but it's too pricey with cmc 4 for a copyspell. Copying one of the filtercards would be min. 5 - max 8 mana to draw cards. Countering spells works well enough with the usual ones.

Thanks for the suggestions! Keep 'em coming!

How about Braid of Fire for some extra acceleration?

Thanks for your suggestion!

Sadly Braid of Fire 's mana boost will be gone by the main phase and with just 10 instants(that do pretty specific things), it's not worth running.

I fail to see how you plan to get the kill with commander damage. The deck is good for 1v1 for sure!!! Does the chain go long enough for all the opponents though? I playtested it out and I got the engine really kicking turn 5 or 6 usually but it wasn't enough to sink three opponents. Great deck though!!!

@Frewsax Thanks! Haze of Rage is what makes it possible to score a kill with commanderdamage. T1 Chandra, T2 storm into HOR -> 1st opponent down. Requires like a lot of fastmana and you should btw. definately add Sol Ring to my build(sadly my playgroup houserule banned it). Hazoret the Fervent shines more in this regard, as she's got haste and is indestructible. Killing the whole table T3-4 is sometimes troublesome, but getting off a early Volcanic Awakening really helps. Also don't shy back on copying the ritual spells like Seething Song or paying almost all your life to Treasonous Ogre .

Neat deck. Wayyyy to slow for my meta unfortunately. I might build it to have something a little more casual though.

@AdNauseam12 Thanks, you should give it a try. Maybe you can find something to make it work in your meta! Hatecards is always a good start. If you got any ideas to improve, let me know.

Every time I look at your deck I want to play Izzet. I know you want it to be mono red but I can totally see Izzet versions. Melek? Niv-Mizzet Parun? Oh me oh my.

@oeliberti Thanks, glad you like it, been recently building a variant of this deck utilizing the banlist of duelcommander(french) and it's already way cheaper as this one. Still works, even if you cut the expensive rocks that accelerate you.

Any word on that budget variant? :O

I saw your section on why you chose mono-red specifically, but I'm curious as to how you ended up with Chandra, Fire of Kaladesh  Flip as this deck's main general.

@channelfireball12345 I listed a few alternatives, as the commander isn't that important, although she has just been replaced by one that really matters, looking at you Kaldheimspoilers and a certain god :D

I see that it has been a while since you last updated this deck. If you are still play it, I'm sure you considered Birgi, God of Storytelling  Flip, but what about the the alternative with Urabrask  Flip?
