Magic Aids Dino Deck

Standard RGW (Naya)

MagentaCow

After many edits, this is the final version of my red-white-green dinosaur enrage deck. The focus of the deck is to ramp for big dinos or to enrage the small dinos enough to overwhelm the opponent. Forerunner of the Empire is the focal point of the deck because it activates most of the enrages, but even if you never draw one (unlikely) the deck performs extremely well with a general synergy among other dinos.

*NOTE: I've found that I am able to play more than one elder dinosaur at a time per game, so I've found that using a variety of elder dinos rather than duplicates of 1 or 2 works better since all of them can be on the field at once.

FUN COMBOS

Polyraptor - Forerunner:

  • the forerunner allows for polyraptor to be duplicated multiple times. This combo ends most games if succcesfully implemented.

Etali - Forerunner:

  • If you play Etali, Primal Storm then the next turn you have a forerunner, you can play the forerunner to search for any dino in the deck, put it on top of the library, then attack with Etali to play it onto the battlefield for free (Zetalpa, polyraptor, zacama, gishath)*NOTE: similar play can be made with Gishath and forerunner

Siegehorn - Tilonallis Crown:

  • Although this is a small combo, it is devastating early game. Siegehorn enters the field as a 2 cost 2/2, but after tilonallis crown (2 cost) it turns into a 7/4 with trample who will only get bigger. Enraging Siegehorn Ceratops is an easy early game win condition

Ghalta - Warrior Poet:

  • Ghalta's cost is reduced by total power, so Huatli's ability to create 3/3 dinos each turn make playing Ghalta easy
  • secondly, ghalta's 12 power makes her +2 ability have amazing value. You'll be gaining 12 health per turn, which quickly gives you the advantage at any point in the game.
  • her -X allows for you to empty their board of blockers and go in for the kill

Siegehorn - Temple Altisaur:

  • Siegehorn Ceratops is a massive threat by himself, but paired with Temple Altisaur he is impossible to get rid of. Temple reduces all damage to one, which means that siegehorn can block and attack without every being worried about dying. For every one damage done to Siegehorn, he gains 2 +1/+1 counters

Forerunner - Trapjaw Tyrant:

  • Trapjaw is in this deck mostly to counter deathtouch and other Dino killing creatures (Dinosaur Hunter), but it does an amazing job of keeping their board empty when combined with Forerunner. Everytime you play another dino, you take a creature off their side of the board.
  • Polyraptor is nice with this combo because it activates Trapjaw's enrage multiple times. Overall dealing 1-3 damage to each creature and exiling 1-3 creatures your opponent controls. (Temple Altisaur is good with this dino for the same reason as Siegehorn)

Ranging Raptor - Savage Stomp:

  • Although this is a minor detail, it can be effective to ramp for lands early on. 1 cost fight card with counter, activates enrage for a land, and keeps ranging raptors big. It is especiall annoying early on because your opponent will either not attack in fear of giving you lands, or will not block your attacks in fear of giving lands. Either way, it gives you control of the flow of battle.

*NOTE: Lands are personal and can be switch to different lands. The shown lands are just what I have available to me.

I've been playing dinosaurs since Ixalan first came out. I'm proud of where the deck is now. I've tested it against other people and it works pretty well. Feel free to give me any constructive input on it.

P.S: Magic Aids, Your videos are the best <3
