A few tweaks, goodbye again old friend. —March 20, 2017

Master Biomancer is once again being dropped for Vigor, the 2 cmc difference between these two is negligible strategically because I rarely played MB early game and Vigor hits the board with a much larger thud and does a lot more for my combat phase than MB. MB once again sat in my hand far too much and needs to be taken out, despite my affection for it and the Glen Elendra Archmage combo

Thassa, God of the Sea I'll miss the free scry, but I didn't find myself using the unblockable overly much, she never seemed to be devoted enough, and I needed to make room for a little more control or draw. Between the two, I prefer Lifecrafter's Bestiary for the build because it doesn't have a solid cmc early game (minor, but it does come up for Sol Ring t2 plays) and the draw more nature of it really keeps me fueled up. I will be putting Paradoxical Outcome into this spot, to protect my high value pieces and let me draw into more cards while gaining a ton of tempo after a wipe.

Pathbreaker Ibex will be swapped out for Duplicant. PI either sat in my hand, sat on an empty battlefield, or immediately solicited spot removal. Even when it did go off it tended to be win more. Duplicant will act as a solid beater, very abusable spot removal with copy/flicker, and will be a far more relevant topdeck most of the time. And I happened to pull a masterpiece of this guy, so its certainly going in.

Just curious why Sakashima the Impostor is in here over some other clone? Her bounce is cool, but it only bounces at EoT, which doesn't really save it from anything

Mostly because it just stacks up when I have abundant mana and breaking legend rule is handy in this strategy (having two Sheoldred, Whispering One is better than one, etc). Not necessarily the best evasion, but think of it more as a mana sink when I have few options.

Usually when sakashima is out I end up abusing Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir and/or Alchemist's Refuge to cast it and return it on each of my opponents' turns. This abuses so many etbs, allows for a well timed copy if the board state changes, and I don't have to rely on the likes of Deadeye Navigator to manipulate it.

In instances where I am whiffing (which means I have a ton of mana saved up and no outlet), copying an Eternal Witness or Greenwarden of Murasa on each opponent's turn and returning a counterspell/bounce gives me so much more sustain than a Stunt Double or Phyrexian Metamorph

Also, Rishkar, Peema Renegade isn't going to be making it into this version of the deck.

Excited to see what Ezuri, Claw of Progress players do with him though :)

This is probably just too cute, but how often do you think you could drain Dark Depths of all its counters for the sweet 20/20 flying indestructible death monster?

I think about it every night, just before I close my eyes :)

it would be absolutely fantastic in here, if I ever get a copy it will have a home in here over any other of my edh decks.

Hey! So I have a question why dont you have Teferi's Isle? I'm actually in the process of building my own Kruphix deck, and Im actually changing it because of your deck! Im keeping all 8 of my walkers though cause I LOVE them but I found Teferi's Isle on gatherer and figured it would be good in concept, but idk if you actually played it. What are your thoughts?

thanks for the rec!

I've never played around with phasing, but with a cursory glance Teferi's Isle would play out like this.

t1: comes in tapped

t2 (before untap): Phases out, therefore useless.

t3 (before untap): comes back and then untaps and may/may not ramp me one mana depending on my play for the turn.

t4 (before untap): phases out, would have been decent to cheat out kruphix with this t4, but not having full access to this land on the prior turns hurts.

etc.

In the first 4 turns I would have access to 2 mana one time? The longer the game went on, I would get more use out of a basic/tapland/karoo, even if the stars align. This deck prefers constant access to resources because timing is so crucial to most of my plays.

And walkers do really synergize with the playstyle of Kruphix, good luck and have fun with em, I've just had terrible luck with walkers that can't protect themselves in my playgroup. Kiora, the Crashing Wave and Tamiyo, the Moon Sage have devastating ults that take quite awhile to start up, people tend to let them be for a turn or so, netting you control over the board state or draw (maybe into spells that can protect them to ult if timed right)

I've had every green walker in here at some point for testing, and most of the jaces too. Just my 2 cents, gotta plan for (is this 4cmc/5cmc) worth the + or a single - if it won't live until my next turn. With these 2, its usually a yes. Flip nissa is cute enough and abusable mostly for the land fetch and no one really hates her out on flip unless they just wiped the board because she is fairly nonthreatening.

Ah Alright! Yeah! So Teferi's Isle is not that good then, I did not really know how the PHasing would work, and I figured a double blue mana would be better than say a regular island. But I see your point espeically if you have something like Seedborn Muse out. Although I do have a question does Kruphix really need ramp spells like Cultivate or Farseek? Cause my friend says that I do since im green, he said 'it never hurts to get a vorinclex out at turn 5' but the more I look a different Kruphix decks I rarely see any ramp spells, I typically see more 'rampy/deck thining' lands like Evolving Wilds or Misty Rainforest What do you think of my deck? Im not new to Green, But im new to blue (mostly) and I'm not sure the best path for Simic specifically...

In most green decks I can't recommend ramp splls high enough.

In this build I can play every spell in the deck with 5 mana sources by storing mana away on turns I'm playing defensively.

Works reliably and I'd rather have more care package than just ramp at this point, unless you are going infinite with the mana...there is such a thing as being flooded with mana with this mander
