Moonveil Dragon scales extremely well with nikya's double mana. even if you arent going wide it will let you sink your unused mana efficiently.

are more and more prominent in my playgroup, let alone ramp dorks/sac dorks/land destruction packages, and Kessig Wolf Run abuse that could net me card advantage on top of a good early game body. Drawing off of a fetch feels pretty alright as well :)

even though it has crept up a little Wake the Dead can do serious work in here. Its one of those ETB abuse gems that always gets wonderful results.

Moonveil Dragon can be heavily abused. I can't think of a lot of gruul activated abilities matter creatures..but if you can divine up some more..the instant speed plays of abilities with doubled mana will serve you well.
Savageborn Hydra being able to dump mana into this and swing can delete someone without blockers or just trample on through if you have a fieldwide trample effect
Magus of the Candelabra is a must

Thumbed for Aetherworks Marvel idea, very good synergy with every variant of the deck. If you wanna capitalize on this effect further Demon of Dark Schemes fits on its own and PUSHES energy accolation
Couldn't run demon in our variant because its more of a token/come back from wipe focused variant..but might serve you extremely well.

Are you getting work out of Vicious Conquistador ? If not, there are some niche one drops that always felt good in Vampires.
Shadow Alley Denizen can force damage through extremely reliably and proccing it multiple times in a single turn can just end the game.

I was lucky enough to have 5 promo Hydroid Krasis pulled in my playgroup on prerelease weekend lol
essentially, use Capsize as little as possible because they know you have it after the first use, skilled players will try to bait it like they will for counterspells. Focus on returning combo pieces in response to the other side of the combo coming down, remove annoyances like Malignus as they swing, but most importantly use it to protect engine pieces like Prime Speaker Zegana , Panharmonicon , and Eternal Witness from exile and use it as a recursion engine when there are gaps in play. Getting an eye for what you HAVE to remove and what you WANT to remove is something you will acquire over time and will shift as much as your meta does. The less you use Capsize the more mana you can stockpile, but the more you use it...the more card advantage it gains you. A fine line to be sure
And yes, it is somewhat normal to get mana screwed on the way to casting your first Kruphix...but the tempo disruption should allow you to keep the other players off until you are stabilized. I tend to keep 3 land hands that have plays or snap keep 4 land hands. There are plenty of little draw, little scry, and stall options for early game so you just have to have the faith :)
Also, you don't always have to play kruphix. Nowadays I only play him to prevent discard, flash him in on an end step if I have nothing better to do, or to abuse Seedborn Muse and Wilderness Reclamation . My meta is so spot removal heavy and cutthroat that I have to put the game away without him most rounds, but the deck still runs without him if you gain more meta knowledge and learn your opponents' tells and trends
