Izzet Blitz it.

I saw a deck a guy was building named ithium142 that was an aggressive Izzet deck on a $50 budget. I loved the deck, and wanted to test a non budget version. Here's what I came up with.

So I went online for a test run. Played an 8 man. Got paired against Mono White Flash, Pillow Fort Enchantments, Soul Sisters, and Jeskai Prowess.

Round one lost to Mono White. I ground through 3 Resto Angels, a Flicker Whisp, a Mirran Crusader, and a dryad militant game one. I fought the good fight, but ran out of pump spells. To the deck's credit it lasted a while. Lost game two due to flood. Kind of silly in a 16 land deck, but it happens.

Round Two I beat Pillow Fort. Game one he died turn 4 to Stormchaser Mage, and Kiln Feind with Lightning Bolt Temur Battlerage. Game two he died turn 3 to Kiln Fiend, Monastery Swiftspear Temur Battlerage, Gitaxian Probe, Mutanegenic Growth.

Round Three beat Jeskai Prowess. Game one I forget which turn maybe 5 I won with 3 Stormchasers, 2 Swiftspears Serum Visions Bolt. Game 2 he stole my Stormchaser turn 3 with Vedalken Shackles, but died turn 4 to my Kiln Feind, Temur Battlerage, Mutanegenic Growth Lightning Bolt.

Round Four Soul Sisters. Game one he plays Soul Warden. I play Swiftspear swing. He plays Intangible Virtue I play Swiftspear Bolt his Warden swing. He plays Spectral Procession. I play Kiln Feind pass. He swings then plays Sorin. +1 Sorin his creatures get +1+0 lifelink. I play Mutanegenic Growth on Kiln play Pyroclasm wipe his board then Temur Battlerage swing win. Game 2 he has no play. I play swiftspear go. He plays Warden pass. i play Kiln he play an Enchantment where I have to pay 2 mana for each attacking creature. I play echoing truth at his end step untap Gitaxian Probe, Serum Visions, Temur Battlerage swing for win.

All in all I really like the deck. It's super aggro, and I didn't get paired againt Eldrazi, infect, or Affinity. However I have palyed multiple games with it against Afiinity with a friend of mine, and crushed it repeatedly. It's fun to play, and minus the lands super cheap to build. I'll update with future win loss stats.

UPDATE: Played a two man against Elves. Destroyed them 2-0. Though i have to say in elves defense i'm not sure that the odds of this deck drawing both of the Pyroclasms in the first 3 turns of game to is likley to be too common. However I was wondering how the deck would function with Pyroclasm Mainboard? Any thoughts?

Update:Again: Add Goryo's Vengance, and Affinity to the lost of 2-0 victims
