So i have built a deck based on how an Alien Invasion should work. -->(non-competitive, fun deck)<--

lineageEmrakul comes from an honorable bloodline of world eating abominations.

-First step of a successful Invasion is spreading basic drones all over the place (Awakening Zone / Nest Invader ---> Eldrazi Spawns or Endless One, Eldrazi Mimic).

-Second step is making them evolve into harder, better, faster, stronger Aliens (Sacrifice Eldrazi Spawns ---> Thought-Knot Seer, Reality Smasher, Oblivion Sower).

-Third step is preparing to bring in your motherships (Descendants' Path ---> Emrakul, the Aeons Torn, Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger, Kozilek, the Great Distortion, It That Betrays, Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre).

Awakening Zone + Descendants' Path is the main idea. Bringing in the big ones will be guaranteed by the Conduit of Ruin, putting a mothership on top in order to get CAST by Descendants' Path next turn. (yes, it does CAST them) Of course a Invasion includes capturing lands. Oblivion Sower will grant you the ability to steal the opponents Lands directly from their deck. (Imagine you first attacked with Ulamog, the Ceaseless Hunger!) It That Betrays will make your opponents Lands, Creatures, Enchantments, etc turn against him. All Is Dust will basically allow you to take control of all his creatures when It That Betrays is already on the board. Thought-Knot Seer and Reality Smasher will just do their thing. (nasty)

Since you're running a decent amount of big Aliens, Titan's Presence should be a good removal Spell. (adds a lot of flavour idk) Also Spatial Contortion and Warping Wail are some nice Flavour Options. World Breaker gives you an almost undying body, able to exile enemy land. (land can later be stolen by Oblivion Sower!) All Is Dust will give you the ability to nuke those little elves trying to prevent your Alien-Forces from wreaking havoc upon their home.

Awakening Zone, Nest Invader will give you bodies to jump-block and keep Descendants' Path active. Warping Wail allows you to flash in a scion if desperatly needed for blocking or Descendants' Path. Ancient Stirrings lets you search for that sweet Eldrazi Temple early on or a creature that you need.

4 copies of Eldrazi Temple of course. A few Shrine of the Forsaken Gods for some extra flavour and colorless mana. Sanctum of Ugin to search for needed creatures. Full-Art Zendikar Forests because of flavour reasons.

_Resident of an invaded plane watches Emrakul, the fattest mothership approaching. She realizes in terror, that the plutonium bomb hasn't been invented yet._

So this is just a fun deck to play against friends or at FNM. Even though you'll be hated for playing eldrazi, it sure is fun to reveal that Emrakul with Descendant's Path. At least you're not playing blue.

Update 1:

  • I won 2 games out of 3 at my local FNM with this deck.
  • (1/2-Defeat against Vampire tribal lifegain; 2/0-Victory against Smallpox; 2/1-Victory against some planeswalker homebrew stuff)
  • I stole a Mutavault from the vampire tribal deck once with Oblivion Sower and realized how useful it can be in this deck. (since it can transform into an eldrazi in your upkeep to trigger Descendants' Path)

Update 2:

  • I placed first at my local FNM, winning 3 out of 4 Rounds.
  • (2/0-Victory against Counterspell-Faeries; 2/0-Victory against some Thalia, Guardian of Thraben /taxes deck; 1/2-Defeat against Utopia Sprawl-ramp, died to Overrun; 2/0-Victory against Rakdos)
  • Seems like people like to forget about enchantment removal in their sideboards.
  • Got shit-rares like Serpentine Spike, dang.

Amazing deck! i feel like anything with scry would be very good this deck, making you able to find any eldrazi you want easier.

Maybe splash blue to utilize Call to the Kindred it looks at the top 5, which you will ever whiff with the amount of Eldrazi packed into this deck.

Great deck I love it feels amazing to drop these huge creats on the field.

Side note, How did you manage to win 2-0 against a counterspell-faerie deck? Was it really bad? cause I playtested your deck against my own counterspell-fearie and It won 6 games in a row without much efforts.

Still, I love you deck +1

@ghoul_Legion:The counterspell deck wasn't bad. The player simply underestimated the enchantments and gave me enough space to play a reality smasher. I think i would have lost if he countered awakening zone or descendants path but instead he only countered the free-cast eldrazi.

It might be counter-intuitive to the deck's "casual" premise (although can Eldrazi every truly be casual?), but mind control probably fits in the aliens' invasion plan somewhere? Maybe a 1-of of Emrakul, the Promised End?

Seems to me like that deck would still lose pretty hard to elves thou
