To give an update, I took this to a commander night at my LGS. A couple things I took away from the 4 player free for all game I played:

1) -2/-2 static effects are awful for this deck... Elesh Shorn or however you spell her name. The deck can recover decent, but hopefully you hurt the opponent enough before the effect hits the field.

2) finding the balance between high cmc vampire terrrors and little itty bitty tiny vampires just to trigger Edgar's eminence. I found low levels were good with a power house vampire coming down to strike terror to opponents on table.

3) board wipes. I wanted to ask any of you who read this for your opinion on ratios. I was thinking of changing some stuff around for at least 2 board wipes. Maybe merciless eviction and maybe yahenni's expertise (or damnation).

Again, any thoughts or criticisms are more than welcome!

I built mine surprisingly much different than yours. I don't much like cards like Cathar's Crusade because although powerful, they put the target immediately on your back. If your concern is -2/-2 or -3/-3 effects, there are a trenemdous amount of creature and enchantments that help pump up your team to get out of those ranges. I'll post the link to my deck so you can compare/contrast:

I went mildly expensive on the mana base only because I owned alot of them before building this deck.

I would suggest to add Grave Pact or Dictate of Erebos, so that losing creatures to -2/-2 also hurts other players.

They work well with sacrifice outlets too, making each of your tokens from Eminence becomes a Innocent Blood.

It also allows you to attack with your 1/1 tokens even when they can be blocked, as your opponents may not want to sacrifice something better.

Shadow Alley Denizen is really good with this commander. Every token he makes means a creature gets intimidate. And, while a little more expensive than other removal options, Crib Swap does have the benefit of triggering Edgar's eminence ability.

skroes I've been actually been studying your build as well and making changes to mine. I actually really want to thank you for sharing your list with me. I've taken mine to game nights and it's been doing well with some inspiration from you, so thanks!

SilentNSly Those additions seem really effective if you were going wide. Maybe I'll look at it in another build. I'm really pushing the counter addition strategies. Thanks for those suggestions! They do seem like additional Butcher of Malakir basically haha

gorillacus Thank you for the suggestion! I've been contemplating Metallic Mimic for a while. I specifically like Adaptive Automaton for the extra 1 toughness and its a static effect. Also, its more expensive since it's still in standard, but maybe after it goes down? I'll have to try it.

wereotter I do like and I have tried Shadow Alley Denizen, but I'm not sure what to take out. What would you suggest? Also, I'll have to try Crib Swap for removal! I run pretty well on removal already and the orzhov removal I play allows me to target nonland permanents so that helps for utility. How has it worked for you?

Thank you to all who have looked at this list and helped me improve it. I've been getting a lot of help from LGS as well but I really appreciate everyone's time! Thanks again!

Well.... it depends on your meta as to if my recommendation is worth taking, but generally for me, Edgar tends to go wide rather than big, lots of small tokens from casting my creatures. As such, your Yahenni's Expertise may end up hurting you more than it hurts your opponents, so that's potentially one you could replace. But if you play against opponents who also tend to play smaller creatures, I'd understand keeping it. Otherwise, I would say that Olivia, Mobilized for War is one that maybe isn't helping you much. You don't have cards with madness or threshold in your deck, and I'm not seeing recursion in your strategy, so discarding for her ability isn't getting you as much value as it might.

As far as my own deck, the times I have gotten to play Crib Swap has been effective, but the removal you're running may already be solid enough to not need to put it in.

gorillacus I added Mavren Fein, Dusk Apostle and that has helped greatly.

I ended up removing most board wipes and left Merciless Eviction and added more spot removal. Ive noticed that when I go wide, board wipes hurt me more. So I switched stuff to put in more buffing for the tokens and creatures. No matter what, board wipes suck. At least now I can get in as much damage as possible. Any other suggestions?

I think Bloodsworn Steward is almost redundant because Daddy Edgar already has haste. The +2/+2 is nice, but you can already get beefed up by a lot of other creatures like Drana, Liberator of Malakir, Necropolis Regent and Stromkirk Captain plus other cards like Cathars' Crusade, Door of Destinies and Vanquisher's Banner. I would say add more haste enablers like Hanweir Battlements, Hall of the Bandit Lord and/or Olivia's Bloodsworn. If you need more draw, Id suggest Tymna the Weaver even if she isnt a vamp.

gorillacus I added Hanweir Battlements before and I put it back in. I like it actually! Ive debated between it and Slayers' Stronghold. What do you think? Battlement is cheaper but its just haste. Stronghold is better late game for more damage and vigilance so the tokens can chump block.

frogkill45ive considered Toxic Deluge but I still have the same issue: board wipes almost hurt me more. Id rather have the spot removal. Do you run it in an aggro token build? Have you seen it be successful? If so, thats all that matters. :)

wereotter I wanted to thank you for your dedicated responses as well as everyone else. Im not the greatest player so having you guys all help really makes my day :) thank you all for your dedication in answering my questions and giving me your suggestions straight up. Really means a lot!

Regarding your latest question on wraths, I tend to run an average of three per commander deck. With this guy, your best are probably Blasphemous Act since it will probably only cost one red, Merciless Eviction for its flexibility, and one of your choosing. Austere Command is a nice one again for flexibility, but I went with Fumigate since if I'm going to lose a lot of tokens, I want to get something out of it.

I dunno. I kinda just like the one red for haste. But to each their own. If it works use it right?
