Blue artifact Beatpound deck.

Help appreciated. I'm avoiding the Grand Architect + Pili-Pala combo that people love to hate. That would take an entirely different deck, and it's not really what I'm going for.

The idea of finishing with a crazy rainbow card like Progenitus or Door to Nothingness is fun to toy with, but I'd rather build a resilient deck. I'd like it to use powerful creatures to provide constant threats, synergies to potentially combo out, and enough forms of card advantage to grind if I have to. I won't bother with any reactive cards, unless they're as amazing here as Whipflare.

I'm using Chromanticore at the moment for its synergy with Kaleidostone, and FTLulz. It has won me exactly 0 games. 90% of my wins are from Esperzoa. (The rest are mostly boredom-induced concessions when I try to track my mana). It's a stand-in for a more effective card.

Mirran Spy is a necessary evil here, I think. I'd like it replaced because it's weak, does nothing on its own, and I usually have to spend half of my mana to cast it. It's still here because the potential to go stratospheric by chaining cantripping artifacts into Mishra is too great. It gets crazier with multiples out, but that's a win-more kind of situation. Once I get to that point I should be good already.

I would like to find a better way to draw/filter cards than Riddlesmith. He's great when he works, but is dead useless when I don't have a mitt full of artifacts behind him ready to cast. He also gets hit by whipflare. One of the biggest problems with this deck is that it kind of dies if it ever gets an empty hand. Riddlesmith tries to keep that from happening, but can't recover if I ever do dry up. For that reason, I'm considering running a draw spell. Thoughtcast perhaps, or an x-spell.

I want another Grand Architect effect. He's super important to the strategy; the deck feels half as strong without him. Skill Borrower may work out well if I run some sort of library manipulators (modern version of Brainstorm or something). Chief Engineer might work too--it's quite a bit weaker but much cheaper.
