A semi-budget Demonic Pact control deck with no Fate/Khans. The deck will very likely stay Blue/Black with maybe a splash of colorless - I really like consistent mana and I'd rather have it be the last thing I lose games to.

Gameplan is to Flaying Tendrils / Languish away all aggro until Demonic Pact is dropped. Pact is actually amazing; it offers you a toolbox you can use to accelerate your gameplay, to mess up their board and to make them discard which is very, very relevant. It's also a win condition on it's own when it's replayed several times.

Smasher is one of the better (cheap) finishers. We're not running too many creatures so having one that sticks in the board is important. The trample makes sure it's not chump-blocked for several turns.

Sigiled Starfish is there to help against aggro and to filter cards. Scrying off lands or digging for an answer for your own Pact is something you'll find yourself often doing.

Everything else can very flexibly move in and out. More Languish and Tendrils against creature decks, more counters against control / combo / superfriend decks.

All help with the deck is appreciated, I'm somewhat new to control. Though don't suggest Jace, I won't have the budget for that (he alone is more than the rest of the deck atm)
