Get ready for the Blightsteel.

Etherium Sculptor,Everflowing Chalice and Coretapper has some amazing synergy, allowing for a Blightsteel Colossus on turn 6-7. With the control elements in here ( Lux Cannon, Remand and Stoic Rebuttal), surviving until a Blightsteel Colossus can be unleashed is more than feasible.

Lux Cannon and an untapped Coretapper has some great synergy preventing certain combo decks from going off. Go right ahead, Splinter Twin. I'll shoot your little Deceiver Exarch out of this dimension.

Chimeric Mass is an alternative beater should the Colossus fail to show up. Darksteel Reactor is for a fun combo win, should I be allowed to get the infinite mana+infinite myr untap combo on board.

Darksteel Forge would possibly be a card to cut, but as a 1-of Fabricate target, it's potentially pretty powerful.

Thirst for Knowledge is a card I'm considering for the deck.

This is the awesome power of artifice. A potentially turn 4 Blightsteel Colossus fits well with the power level of Modern, but the deck isn't a tier 1 deck. I'd love to make it so, however. Adding a new color could be a solution, but I think the arguments for doing so has to be good.So, thoughts?

So, this coming weekend I will attempt to trade my way into actually making this deck and testing it against a few top modern decks. I will at least proxy the cards I don't have and will post my findings here. I will probably be playing against G/R Tron, U/W tempo with Geist and snappy, possibly Merfolk and Scapeshift. My playtesting group could potentially proxy up a Jund deck just to set a baseline against.

How do you think my chances are against the decks I mentioned?
