Planeswalker (1)

Creature (4)

Insanely solid "Walker" deck.

Jace, the Living Guildpact He fixes your draws (which dont knock it tell you try it) and when combined with the "scry lands" it makes for a really solid "engine." Not to mention he can "bounce" your opponents permanents (two) if you tic up pretty fast. And with all the tokens this deck kicks out, its REALLY not hard to hit his ultimate in this shell.

Kiora, the Crashing Wave. She slices "creatures away with some well placed fog" and gives u everything u want in one sweet "walker" package IE extra land drops and draws.

Nissa, Worldwaker is a great card, though in this deck she is really only (mainly) there to just pump out 4/4 trample elemental "i'm your opponents worse nightmare" tokens 8P The added "ramp" is just icing on the cake imo.

Garruk, Apex Predator -- Kills walkers, creatures, and makes killer creatures ... what else could you ask for?

"Control" Package:

Abrupt Decay: Targets a LARGE list of popular permanents out there right now, 3 in the main 1 in the SB for those "aggro" matches.

Dissolve: The single best counterspell in standard.

Hero's Downfall / Putrefy: nuff said

Thoughtseize: Originally I had these in the SB BUT, I found I really needed an answer to those "must kill spells" out there so 3x in the MB it is. I always SB them out for the counters in my MB vs aggro or burn.

therspouts : The single card that pretty much makes this deck possible! I cant speak highly enough about this card, yes, it "targets" attacking creatures BUT, being that it does not actually "target" anything -- its SO powerful. You set your opponent way back in tempo, and you can just sit back and drop those "bombs" of your own.

Post-rotation this deck is NOT loosing much, that said I feel that it will be a competitive color combo.

Rotating cards:

MD:

3x Abrupt Decay, 1x AEtherling, 1x Putrefy, 4x Breeding Pool, 4x Overgrown Tomb, 2x Watery Grave.

SB:

1x Abrupt Decay, 1x Dispel, 1x Ultimate Price.

That said, based on what we have available right now -- everyone is going to be taking a little more "pain" from lands IE this deck will be running 8x "painlands" and 10x "scry lands." So, I feel adding 4x Courser of Kruphix will be a necessity.

I also feel that dropping Nissa, Worldwaker from the deck will be something that will benefit the deck more in the long run (post-rotation of course). I'm thinking (again, based on the info we have now) replacing her with 2x Ashiok, Nightmare Weaver however, being that I will already have Courser of Kruphix as my "permanent" 3 drop -- I may just keep the "walkers" @ 8 -- or I could add another Jace, the Living Guildpact and another -- something 8P
