This way, you can play with all your favorite Eldrazi cards! Your goal is to survive and prepare for playing your Win-condition big Eldrazi that fits the situation and locks the opponent out of the game.

Typically you'll be going for Emrakul, The Promised End. Flying, trample, protection from instants, 13/13 that you'll (ideally) be able to cast for 7 (absolute best case scenario 6) is pretty damn good. However, you also have access to many other good options depending on what the situation calls for.

now, you might be asking; "but striker, why the oblivion sower"?

You want Ashiok to mostly hit cards the opponent wants to play (creatures, spells, ect) but what do you do if ashiok hits lands for 2 turns?

why, play oblivion sower and gain an additional 3+ lands of course! Bonus points if you assemble tron off the other player!
