The predecessor to my Modern Bant Spirits deck, this is how the deck looked before the addition of Collected Company and Noble Hierarch's.

The deck has a similar tribal feel and playstyle to that of Merfolk, and arguably fills the same role in a metagame position. The advantages to this version over the Bant version is that the Mana is smoother, more consistent and much less painful, and also allows you to play utility lands such as Ghost Quarter in the maindeck.
