This is an Assault Loam list I made up using some old primers and a bunch of cards I already have. With Jace in the meta, it's nice to have a recursive way to deal with him, and with more Jund lists because of Bloodbraid, it's also nice to have a little resiliency against discard.

So the deck works around Life from the Loam, which is a repeatable way to get land cards into our hand. It works well with Young Pyromancer because we can keep dredging it back to make a token every turn and grind out the game with other ways of controlling the board such as Molten Vortex. The original concept of the deck is built around a similar card, Seismic Assault, but because we're in Naya colors with a black splash, it can be a little hard to cast. Knight of the Reliquary is the main reason for running white. It can be a really big beater, it fills our graveyard for Loam and Vortex, and helps turn on Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, which acts as both an alternate wincon and another way of controlling the board. Courser of Kruphix is actually pretty sweet in this deck because not only does it gain us life and filter lands off the top of our deck, it also allows us to control our draws to an extent by using shuffle effects like Knight and Fetchlands, or by milling unwanted cards by dredging loam. The rest of the deck is mostly just removal and card draw, with Splendid Reclamation as a way to get an easier kill with Valakut, and Lingering Souls for blockers and making Pyromancer better (it also works well with dredging).

So all in all, this is a grindy midrange/control deck based around getting value out of Life from the Loam. I personally like it because it is very interactive and nonlinear. There are a lot of ways to win in this deck, be it through Knight of the Reliquary, Young Pyromancer tokens, Molten Vortex, or Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle, and I personally think that kind of flexiblity is pretty good in a new, changing meta. So thanks for checking out the deck, all thoughts and cnostructive criticisms are welcome!
