Ward of Lights

Enchantment — Aura

You may play Ward of Lights any time you could play an instant. If it was played any time a sorcery couldn't have been played, it gains substance until end of turn and when it loses substance, sacrifice it.

Enchant creature

As Ward of Lights enters the battlefield, choose a color.

Enchanted creature has protection from the chosen color. This effect doesn't remove Ward of Lights.

What about "protection from"? This seems like a viable option, especially if you're willing to go harder into Green and white. Enchantments like Circle of Protection: Green or Rune of Protection: Green are options, or things like Brave the Elements , Mother of Runes , Ward of Lights , Spectra Ward are very helpful. I'm going to start a cut leaning harder into protection/Damage prevention and see where that gets me. Looking at cards like Blinding Fog , Divine Light , Forfend , Heart of Light , or my personal favorite, Inviolability . I have done evil, evil things with Inviolability. Hold back the hordes! I'll probably work at building something over the next couple of days.

since many of your combos rely around a few auras, i suggest adding Totem-Guide Hartebeest as a tutor.

if you're going for the control route, might try some counterspells in your colors Dawn Charm, Avoid Fate, Mana Tithe, Cease-Fire

Ward of Lights and Cho-Manno's Blessing serves double duty. You can use it to protect your main pieces, or 'blank' the target of the ghostly flicker, by granting your opponent's creature protection from blue. Tutorable from your Heliod's Pilgrim, and recurrable since its not instant/sorcery.

I was thinking cards like Cho-Manno's Blessing , Floating Shield , Pacifism , Temporal Isolation , Ward of Lights , and Righteous Aura . I'm not saying that they all deserve a spot but some are really good. Especially the ones with flash.

This is a really interesting deck! Here are some ideas I have that I think would make the deck run better:

Hope this is helpful!

I would run Sylvok Lifestaff over one of the Scimitar variants, and I'd throw in True-Faith Censer over the Heavy Mattock. Ward of Lights is another good protection enchantment, and I think Heroic Defiance could be really good.

PedroMarcello, thank you for the suggestions! I actually really like Ward of Lights and Floating Shield! I'll fit them in somehow. Inferno Fist is just a 3-mana Shock at best, and I'm not sure I'm too keen on any Pacifism effects besides Spectral Grasp. But I do appreciate the input!

Also, I unfortunately don't have a copy of Land Tax, but if I did it would go in any white deck I had. x)

I recommend Choking Restraints, Inferno Fist, Ward of Lights,Bound by Moonsilver,Floating Shield.

If you want to try something spicy, try rummaging and wheeling with Planar Birth and Land Tax.
