Tiana, Ship's Caretaker tries her hardest!

Commander / EDH Budget Casual Enchantment RW (Boros)

Auras... arguably the most disadvantageous card type to build around.

Boros... arguably one of the least sustainable color combinations in EDH.

Yet here we are.

Against all odds, Tiana, Ship's Caretaker leads the way with auras that cantrip or sacrifice themselves to do useful things!

The main idea here is to beef up our creatures who like auras (and possibly equipments) such as Kor Spiritdancer and Valduk, Keeper of the Flame. This way our opponents can get off nice 2-, 3-, or 4-for-1s and we can feel bad about it... That is, unless we have our general Tiana, Ship's Caretaker out! When this happens, our cantrip auras such as Angelic Gift and Unquestioned Authority will draw us more cards, and our self-sacrificing auras such as Mortal Obstinacy and Flamespeaker's Will can do more useful things! Capashen Standard - now that's white card advantage!

And, to squeeze out every last drop of value from these auras, we can use cards like Odric, Lunarch Marshal, Umbra Mystic, Retether, and Winds of Rath. We also employ Sram, Senior Edificer, Celestial Ancient, and Sigil of the Empty Throne.

Curse of Opulence is also red ramp, I guess.
