Gonti's Aether Heart Discussion

Oh, you don't have to sell me on Whirler Virtuoso. It's a really strong card if I have the other pieces, but it's generally weaker than Architect of the Untamed and Aethersphere Harvester. It's in the sideboard, but only because I want to make sure I'm in a slow enough matchup before I play it.

What you said about not messing with blue mana would usually be correct, but in all of my playtesting, I haven't really had any trouble casting any of my spells. If it ever does get too rough, though, I'll look into using Spire of Industry.

Gonti's Aether Heart certainly does go infinite with Virtuouso. Saheeli Rai is a little weird, but it costs 3 less mana than Heart does and the ult is a little cheeky for this deck in particular (though you'd probably only ever want to use the -2 ability). I'm currently looking in to testing Tezzeret the Schemer in her place, but Gonti's Aether Heart may make it's way into the sideboard with Whirler Virtuoso.

Thanks for the suggestions!

I'd cut Saheeli. No reason to mess with blue mana for a 1-of. Might add Gonti's Aether Heart + Whirler Virtuoso. Those two plus either Decoction Module or Winding Constrictor (or 2x Decoction Module + Winding Constrictor, etc.) go infinite. Gonti's Aether Heart even gives you an extra turn to swing with all the dudes you just made. They both synergize well with the deck in general too. Overall, this looks like a really fun shell!

Neotrup Gonti's Aether Heart is here just for that extra little push over the finish line when I need it. I tried to minimize the spikiness of the deck while still making it competitive, so as to minimize the hate. I've made a few changes, and will work some more on the deck as time allows. Thank you for your suggestions. =)

Ah, Ah, had missed Asnod's + Deathmantle. Other than comboing with Darksteel Forge Mycosynth Lattice ha never really impressed me, I'd recommend Disk over it, as it's a generally useful piece played by decks that don't use it to combo, and is also a really strong combo with the Forge. It stops being land destruction if you remove the Lattice so you can maintain your personal code. Phyrexian Metamorph is also a strong card I'd recommend looking into, as is Grand Architect, though in 4-color it's not as strong as monoblue artifacts. Gonti's Aether Heart is really hard to abuse, Ugin's Nexus works a little easier, but Time Sieve is super abusable, and combos with Thopter Assembly to win.

I'm trying to find place for 2x Gonti's Aether Heart in the mainboard, but I can't spare anything in this list :( I think Gonti's Aether Heart would be a nice compliment to this deck...Suggestions are welcome...

Great deck. +1!

One small suggestion for an alternative to Time Sieve. Gonti's Aether Heart costs more up front, and can only be used once, but it allows you to take an extra turn without sacrificing artifacts, and it can be triggered simply by summoning Breya once after it hits the battlefield.

I don't see the reason to have a Foundry Inspector when i have so much that gives me mana. I do like the idea with Scrapheap Scrounger it doesn't only give another option for the synergy. It gives you two spells you played with this turn. one Metalwork Colossus for free and then a Scrapheap Scrounger. The problem is "exile another creature".When i don't have that many creatures to exile, I can put Eternal Scourge, but i feel it becomes more complicated.I personally prefer Key to the City over Built to Smash because the key gives unblockable. But putting some Built to Smash in will work great if you attack first with Metalwork Colossus then Fling him.

Metalspinner's Puzzleknot and Cathartic Reunion is a good option that i have and will consider.Cathartic Reunion for the draw and to be able to discard Metalwork Colossus if you have to.Shock, Galvanic Bombardment and Fiery Temper is hard for me to decide but removal is definitely needed.

Scrap Trawler is very intesting, it basically gives other artifact's the ability of Scrapheap Scrounger. If you Sacrifice Prophetic Prism(or Key to the City), you can get them in the graveyard and take back Metalwork Colossus. Then you play Metalwork Colossus and Sacrifice another Prophetic Prism get pack you're old Prophetic Prism. Play both and then do it all over again. And if needed get back Paradox Engine or Aetherflux Reservoir. This all depends put that gives the spirit of the synergy more power.this also means you will draw cards for playing Prophetic Prism, if that is what you are Sacrificing and that's always good.

Reckless Fireweaver is the one i been thinking about. I have not seen Quicksmith Rebel but it feels like I can do more damage overtime with Reckless Fireweaver. Quicksmith Rebel is a option i will look in to and I do like it.

Reckless Bushwhacker doesn't seem needed but it can give hast and that can be necessary but im not sure here tho.

Aetherworks Marvel feels like a compliment to Aetherflux Reservoir were you can do many effects with Consulate Turret, Dynavolt Tower, Architect of the Untamed and so on. Tho that might be fun and interesting, put a Woodweaver's Puzzleknot, for example and then other things to eat it like Gonti's Aether Heart. There could be some sort of green/red token deck out of this and it sounds fun. But i think if we should go energy then we should go fool energy. I don't feel like mixing to many effects together but it sounds tempting the more you think about it.

I did thought of bringing in improvise with Enraged Giant and Sweatworks Brawler. But then there are better thinks like Gearseeker Serpent. It would give a new purpose to Aetherflux Reservoir and Paradox Engine for example witch is good.

Harsh Mentor and Watchers of the Dead is a must for comeback. But more of a sideboard option it think.

Inventors' Fair and Sanctum of Ugin is something i am considering to but in two of especially if Cathartic Reunion joins the gang.

I thank you fore you're suggestion's and i will consider and ponder on them some more.Have a nice day Falte and i hope you comeback with more to discuss.
