So it begins. Apparently someone pulled a Portuguese Amonkhet card in a MM3 pack. Here it is.
Dusk 2WW
Sorcery
Destroy all creatures with power 3 or greater
Dawn 3WW
Sorcery
Consequence - cast this spell only from your graveyard. Then exile it.
Return all creatures with power less than or equal to 2 from your graveyard to your hand.

@SwaggyMcSwagglepants-Holy cow you are right. Those lands would give you a lot of card draw with Life from the Loam. Nice idea.

Inb4: Dual Cycling lands = Bicycle lands
DevoidMage,
Tagging you due to Life from the Loam - Modern Primer.
Would love your thoughts on the new Cycling lands with Life from the Loam. I'm especially wondering if to cycle is too high. Thanks in advance!

I KNOW I AM CURRENTLY FREAKING OUT!
Literally these were the one thing that the deck was missing. Jund loam can now be a legitimate strategy in modern, I bought up 4 loams as soon as I heard about the printing.
I haven't been more excited about a standard card since Ugin... This is so great.

I'm not sure if cycling 2 is too much, I would assume not with how grindy things can get, but it certainly isn't the same as like a Tranquil Thicket. Since they're dual lands though and have basically double the effectiveness as a tranquil thicket, I would assume that double the cost of any color is a fine trade off.
March 31, 2017 12:41 p.m.
Welp, now we need enemy-colored tangos and cyclelands.
Next block, I guess.
March 31, 2017 1:42 p.m.
to Cycle late game is NOTHING.
Think about how much value we've been getting from paying to crack a Clue.
I love Cycling in Commander and Duel Decks so much.
Now that it's coming to Standard I think I may just pass out.
Mind you, it won't benefit every deck. It's good for mid to late game wins.
Which is not the current Standard. We shall see if the meta changes.

These cards are so great. These will make control decks like UB so much better

Also can I just say that Archfiend of Ifnir is ridiculous? Like, that card is absolutely nuts. A -1/-1 counter every time!!!
March 31, 2017 3:16 p.m.
Im pretty stoked on the new lands tbh, my casual Astral Slide deck just got a ton of love, also this opens up loam in Modern to be brewed

cycling.dec has been a thing for a while. guess modern living death is going to see more play. Guess I need to start brewing now that theres more lands to abuse

I'm excited about them too. Defiantly ready for some Izzet cycle lands though. Hopefully next set!

Mighty Leap's new art is totally leap of faith from Assassins Creed. Which is doubly cool cause the next AC is set in Egypt.
Can't wait to slit throats with a khopesh!

These lands give me hope for some really sweet and soul crushing control strategies... Show me all the good blue stuff Wizards!

Zaueski, BX already has a good start with Archfiend of Infir and the cycle lands!
March 31, 2017 9:36 p.m.
hardhitta71194 I could be wrong but I wouldn't hold out hope for Izzet Cycle Lands in the next set.
They don't seem to have been releasing cards like that.
It will more likely be Izzet Lands with some other mechanic.

Is this just some early April Fools joke? Because those lands...
April 1, 2017 4:33 a.m.
The main WotC facility is on the West Coast of USA, it wasnt April 1st when they were released by that timezone. Those lands are legit.
April 1, 2017 11:39 a.m.
Yeah some someone found a fake nicol bolas...
http://imgur.com/r/magicTCG/nnoFD
obviously fake though, no holo stamp, wrong place for artist info
April 1, 2017 11:39 a.m.
shinobigarth says... #25
Stop posting images and links to fake cards. There's no reason to do that in this thread.
April 1, 2017 11:47 a.m.
@shinobigarth, I would love a khopesh equipment!
As long as we don't see a chariot (I mean vehicle) in this set, I'm happy.
April 1, 2017 12:04 p.m.
I just don't want to see them on every plane, The_Traitor.
April 1, 2017 12:22 p.m.
The_Traitor says... #29
Ah okay, well I agree with that. It actually would not really make sense on Amonkhet
April 1, 2017 12:25 p.m.
Maybe, I could imagine some sort of air skiff off the top of my head... but yeah I wouldn't think a bunch of vehicles make sense
April 1, 2017 12:36 p.m.
The Egyptians did use chariots to win the Battle of Kadesh in 1274 BC, so that's where the thought came from.

CheeseBro, that card is obviously fake, but do you still have a translation for it, for inspiration for my own custom cards?
April 1, 2017 3:03 p.m.
shinobigarth says... #33
They might have like 1 chariot vehicle in there just for kicks. It's not like vehicles are something they can only use on Kaladesh.
April 1, 2017 11:35 p.m.
I would be extremely surprised if Vehicles appear on any other plane than Kaladesh.
I was chatting with Craig O'Neil recently about my love of Vehicles and he said, "Enjoy them before they rotate out," indicating to me that they were Kaladesh specific.
Again, I could be wrong, but I think it's like Gods - they don't appear on just any Plane.

Argeaux if you read the new mtg story on ahmonket, gideon beleives he say a god, so we may have some more gods
April 1, 2017 11:57 p.m.
Rosewater did say that vehicles were likely to be seen on other planes, but I doubt they would add many more after a Vehicle-heavy block like Kaladesh, so I would agree with shinobigarth.

Why are there only allied-color dual lands? Did not WotC say that they would be printing dual lands in cycles of ten cards (one for each two-color combination) from the Theros block onward?
April 2, 2017 1:15 a.m.
DemonDragonJ: Enemy colours will probably be in Hour of Devastation. That way they don't have a glut of their Rare slots taken up by Lands in one set and not the other, as well as making sure there's options in both sets for Limited work.
April 2, 2017 1:19 a.m.
DemonDragonJ says... #39
Atony1400, what about a crook and flail equipment? Also, might there be any ankhs, as this set is inspired by ancient Egypt?
April 2, 2017 1:24 a.m.
DemonDragonJ says... #40
berryjon, that would be very nice, although the lack of enemy-colored battle lands in the Battle for Zendikar block has me worried that WotC is returning to their previous habit of printing dual lands only in groups of five at a time.
April 2, 2017 1:27 a.m.
@berryjon, I doubt it, as they design the sets to fill in the lands being dropped from Standard next, meaning the battle lands like Sunken Hollow.
@DemonDragonJ, that would be interesting, but I was referring to vehicles, not equipment. (I personally want to see the previously mentioned khopesh equipment myself)
Also, i feel your assumption that Wizards is reverting to making half sets of lands is correct. If you look at current Standard, we have completed two sets (man-lands/fastlands), but started 2 more (battle lands/handlands)
April 2, 2017 1:51 a.m. Edited.
shinobigarth says... #42
If they end up needing some equipment in the set, you can bet a khopesh like weapon is one of them. Probably wont be called that though.
April 2, 2017 5:01 a.m.
SpiritoftheSands you did not carefully read what I wrote.
Do Gods appear on every Plane? No. No they don't.

I like her for Commander. Drawing cards is one of Red's biggest weaknesses... so why not run a commander that you can drop when you run out of gas to beat face!
Or use her to enable madness while hitting all players at once. Very political.
I 5/4 indestructible with haste hitting on curve will be a lot to deal with.
April 3, 2017 10:45 a.m.
She will be fantastic with alot of Rakdos stuff or what I do with red... where I put a bunch of free play chaos effects out and don't worry about hand size
April 3, 2017 10:57 a.m.
Molten Vortex on a body with a significant downside, indestructible makes it better

Hey look, an uncommon with the same CMC, body and Keyoword (haste) as Hazoret but in green with a relevant ETB ability for the set.
Sign me up.
Also Crocodiles are the best.
SwaggyMcSwagglepants says... #1
Also (this probably isn't good) but Gushing the islands...
This also could be good in dredge since you can cycle, dredge a bunch of cards, and have a land to use Life of the Loam in your graveyard already.
Life from the Loam seems real good with these too
