Is it worth it?

I made 3 trades yesterday, and im not sure if i did good. Note that what i wanted was value trades, not sentimental trades, so the whole ''if you wanted those cards its worth it'' doesn't apply.

In general, I like the trades. You turned a bunch of lackluster cards into staples like Stoneforge Mystic and Temple Garden, this is the essence of good long term trading. Trade volatile cards for stable ones.

Now card condition and what specific sets would change the numbers some, but I would point out that you kind of ripped off your trading partners in the first two trades. There's certainly some arguments over valuing cards differently that they needed, but that usually accounts for a few dollars not the $20-40 you made on each of those - you took about double the value off them that you offered.

Now I'm absolutely not saying you did this on purpose, but I wanted to use it as a lesson. Part of trading long term is generating trust and reputation as well, fleecing a few people might offer a good short term return but eventually word gets around local scenes and no one will want to trade with you any more. Just something to keep in mind.
