--- ULTIMATE ORZHOV MARTYR PAIN & PROC ---

Welcome to a fun night for you and an infuriating one for your opponents when you introduce them to the true meaning of pain. Give them the life gain they so desire and then punish them for it.

This is you. You are pain.. You decide how your opponent reaches their fate.

Wincon - The traditional Martyr Proc wincon of gaining an ungodly amount of life by cycling in Martyr of Sands with Proclamation of Rebirth and then hitting with cards like the ramped up Serra Ascendant as well as synergizing your lifegain with Sanguine Bond and Vizkopa Guildmage's ability so while you gain life, you can also take it! This deck has several ways to win so it is very hard to shut out.

Here's a bit of explanation of card choices:

Wincon Creatures

Martyr of Sands -- Constant lifegain each turn with forecast on Proclamation of Rebirth, Flipping your Chalice of Life, powering up Serra Ascendant, gaining life and then using Vizkopa Guildmage's ability

Serra Ascendant -- This card is just silly and has perfect synergy in the deck. We have the possibility of a turn 2 flying 6/6 lifelink creature for one mana.

Toolbox Creatures (use for abilities)

Vizkopa Guildmage -- A great card that supports our wincon. Instead of needing to use our lifegain cards on our opponent and then drain them with tainted remedy, we can use his ability to gain the life and do the same damage to our opponent. At two mana and a possible wincon with Martyr of Sands being sacrificed every turn, it is near essential.

Ranger of Eos (ALA - Use to bring in any of our 1 mana creatures!

Weathered Wayfarer - A constant source of mana tutor. If you have him out on the field, you'll never miss a land drop. He's also very good at thinning the deck out.

Children of Korlis - A free sac for fog creature. What makes this creature more valuable in this deck than the usual Kami of False Hope in typical Martyr-Proc is that Children of Korlis syncs up VERY well with Vizkopa Guildmage.. Use Guildmage's ability, sac Korlis and do damage equal to your life regeneration.

Toolbox Cards

Ghostly Prison -- Our turtling card.. Essential! Get as many of these out as possible!

Proclamation of Rebirth -- The "proc" part of martyr proc. Use this card for its forecast cost late game to continually cast Martyr of Sands every turn for lifegain or bring back your Serra Ascendant wincon. Not needed until late game, can be tutored for easily with Beseech The Queen.

Wincon Lifefain/Drain

Rest for the Weary -- Use on either yourself to flip your Chalice of Life, powering up Serra Ascendant, with Vizkopa Guildmage's ability or on your opponent them with Tainted Remedy in play.

Chalice of Life   -- Either constant lifegain or life drain for you or life drain for your opponents! Able to be flipped turn 3 in this deck if need be and be used as yet another wincon
