Ice-Fang Coatl is a real and exciting magic card from Modern Horizons. This is my first brew at a UG tempo deck using this card.

This deck is centered around Flash creatures that can act as counter spells or removal, like Ice-Fang Coatl , Frilled Mystic and Mystic Snake . It likes to hold hold mana and play at instant speed during the opponents turn.

Birds of Paradise helps fix mana and ramps us into the 4 CMC counterspell creatures. Ice-Fang Coatl can be flashed in to remove pesky attackers as it is easy to get 3 snow lands by turn 3. It replaces itself which is invaluable and keeps us ahead on card advantage.

Other than flashing in creatures, mana can be sunk into Duskwatch Recruiter   and Scavenging Ooze to replenish our hands and life total and deal with GY strategies. Vivien's Arkbow is there to filter lands into Mystic Snake , Ice-Fang Coatl , Scavenging Ooze or Duskwatch Recruiter  , at instant speed no less.

Rewind is awesome in this kind of deck and lets us counter something then flash in a Mystic Snake to counter something else, putting us well ahead on board. Cryptic Command , Remand and Echoing Truth round out the control package.

Growing rties of Itlmoc helps filter to a creature and if it sticks around as a land, quickly turns Duskwatch Recruiter   into a game-ending value engine.
