Mono-Black Midrange Deck

Pioneer format

Uses Unholy Annex / Ritual Chamber as card draw engine and synergy with Blade of the Oni which is demon or can change some other creature to demon. Next synergy is with Bloodletter of Aclazotz. It is demon and increase life loss of the opponent.

There are regular hand disruption spells Thoughtseize, removal spells like Fatal Push and Feed the Cycle. Feed the Cycle can target planeswalkers as well and is more versatile then Go for the Throat.

Effective creature Gifted Aetherborn helps a lot against fast red decks and it is nice to grow it up with Blade of the Oni. Then removal / lifelink creature Murderous Rider. And very versatile Graveyard Trespasser  .

Some powerful spells like Invoke Despair and Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal   as hard hitters. And the classic Liliana of the Veil.
