An idea for a modern version of my prized pauper deck. The basic concept is simple; take an opponent down with fast burn and creature damage. The twist is that by utilizing the Madness mechanic it's possible to use cards that might otherwise be too slow for Modern. For example, Alms of the Vein certainly isn't the most powerful version of its effect. But, being able to draw two cards with Thrill of Possibility and cast an Alms of the Vein greatly negates the usual downside of Thrill of Possibility.

To this end, almost all of the cards in the deck either enable madness triggers or benefit from them. The note-able exception to this is Plague Engineer: here because it helps combat tribal-based go wide decks like 8 Whack.

The conversion from Pauper to Modern works like this:

Removed from the deck:

Main Deck: 4x Putrid Imp, 2x Voldaren Epicure, 4x Ash Barrens, 4x Drossforge Bridge, and 2x Rakdos Carnarium.

Side Board: 3x Never Happened, 3x Pyroblast, 2x Electrickery.

Added:

To the Main Board: 2x Bloodhall Priest, 2x Olivia, Mobilized for War, 2x Risk Factor, 3x Blood Crypt, 1x Smoldering Marsh, 4x Dragonskull Summit, 1x Prismatic Vista, and 1x Fabled Passage.

To the Side Board: 3x Inquisition of Kozilek, 2x Plague Engineer, 2x Pithing Needle and 1x Surgical Extraction.

Please, also note that the duals and fetches used in this build aren't the best options available. As I can acquire copies of Blood Crypt and Prismatic Vista they will replace the existing options.
