I'm trying to build an Abzan deck. Midrangy and ruthless.what controll cards do I need? Which creatures do the most for this archetype ? looking for tips for improvements.
Update, I am thinking of Bringing in some sideboard for mainboard cards. Right now this is what the deck does.
T1:One of two things can happen. Play Thoughtseize, or have 0 turn one plays. I admit not that great but it picks up from there.
T2:Sylvan Caryatid. Go to ramp/fixer.
T3:This is the turn you play Courser of Kruphix or are saving back a
Abzan Charm
/Hero's Downfall/Banishing Light. Let the control begin.
T4:Save back some creatures and see if you can continue to control with thoughtseize or your field control spells.
T5:With board presence hopefuly low by this point, either play a creature, preferably Siege Rhino. Or you could play one of your Ajani's. Mentor searches for his pupil, Elspeth, Sun's Champion, the main win con, and steadfast for great creature pump.
That's how I would like my deck to work as is.
The changes I'm thinking of seem to make the deck more agro, which bears a question, which control cards stay, and which are good utility wise. With that in mind, my first picks would be Thoughtseize, Hero's Downfall, And Utter End to keep. Banishing Light, and End Hostilities could probably go.
What I would like to bring in are 2x Whip of Erebos, 2x
Meandering Towershell
