An Aristocrat's Judgement

Modern* Vampires

mana191

Sideboard

A stern, yet benevolent Falkenrath Aristocrat has taken residence in this peaceful village on the outskirts of Stensia. The village is fearful, but obediant of course; dark forces have recently attacked this village, yet the Aristocrat has successfully, time and time again defended her territory, often times at the cost of some... sacrifices.

She comes with friends of course - the Fiend Hunter sect and a duo of Sun Titans. Together they make an invincible combo upon the battlefield.

They are not always there of course and there have been times where the Aristocrat has had to call upon Arcane powers to rid her of her enemies. Arming herself with her arsenal of Doom Blades she is easily able to call upon the Day of Judgment. Of course, she has other tricks up her sleeve (after all she is a vampire and will Go for the Throat or can use her craftiness to Dismember her enemies for example).

The village has many Doomed Travelers that often (and secretly) get sacrified for the greater good and the Aristocrat benefits from the Altar's Reap gaining knowledge and insight or perhaps temporarily invincible. No one knows why the roads are plagued with spirits.

The Village Bell-Ringer likes his village safe and calls everyone home in time of need. Many Bell-Ringers die in the defense of the village, but the omnipotent Sun Titans bless them with life upon their death. (Rumor has it that the Aristocrat has a special appetite for these noble men).

Thraben Doomsayers open the Vault of the Archangel to plead upon Avacyn for boons to help the humans of the village to take down their enemies - and she answers each time.

The Aristocrat's entourage consists of several Stromkirk Captains, Bloodline Keeper   s, and Olivia Voldaren herself! Even the mighty planeswalker Sorin, Lord of Innistrad has been a guest from time to time.

All in all this village is quite formidable with its Falkenrath Aristocrat sitting prettily upon her ivory throne... but how could this village improve upon itself?

Obviously that was.. a bit over the top. Hope it made sense. I'm looking for suggestions here and look forward to any comments! Thank you ahead of time!

Brilliant top decking got this through a gauntlet of decks. Tragic Slip/Dismember is still a bane.

3-2 via G/R Aggro 3-1 via Delver 3-2 via Bant Pod 2-3 via Ravager Wolf Run 3-1 via Ravager Wolf Run (part deux) 1-3 via Spirit Delver

4 and 2 for the day with a 2nd place finish.

Being a rogue deck, perhaps its victory was due to the surprise effect. It consistently played well and it always provided a DoJ or DB/GftT/Dismember when I needed it the most (especially against the aggro!).

Despite that I know it still needs help, but at a loss at what to add or take away.
