Political Trickery

Sorcery

Exchange control of target land you control and target land an opponent controls. (This effect doesn't end at end of turn.)

I had a reply explaining things, then I realized the issue, Political Trickery doesn't have giving your opponent a land worded as a cost to cast the spell, you just target one of yours and one of theirs on casting. It's not like Raze, if that helps. Anyways, I'll leave the rest up in case, but I'm sure you're aware how the stack works!

AFAIK, the plan is that you play Political Trickery and you announce the targets (both of them) upon casting, at which point it goes on the stack. Then, you retain priority and use the Wasteland you targeted to blow up a land you didn't target for theft, at which point Political Trickery will then resolve if they don't have any interaction, because it still has a legal target to affect, meaning you'll steal their land.

The way Ghost Town works with Vedalken Plotter is that I use Nephalia Smuggler to flicker my Plotter on my opponent's turn, at which point I put the Plotter's trigger on the stack, having targeted Ghost Town and another land. I then use Ghost Town's ability to return it to my hand, and the Plotter's trigger resolves because it still has a legal target to affect, netting me a land.

trading stuff away like Role Reversal + Political Trickery
And the biggest trade benefitter is probably Agent of Treachery
Instead of arresting creatures with bonds you also could prevent their casting with Nevermore
you could also go a staxier route with things like Stasis
Pendant of Prosperity is not only a good political tool. It also donates itself and helps you putting lands into play. perfect for zedruu

Zedruu has my vote.

Political Trickery no explanation necessary. I've run this in decks outside of Zedruu strategy. It's surprisingly strong depending on the power level of your playgroup.

maybe try Brand ? so you can basically steal their lands? you could put it on a Isochron Scepter and also use cards like Political Trickery and Shifting Borders . then you could use some mana rocks like Izzet Signet and Thought Vessel (and maybe Humble Defector aswell for card draw) then you could win with some kind of big spell or something I know this is not modern legal, but it would make a fun casual deck!

crash328 on Aminatou unorthodox tech

So, I've been tinkering with the Aminatou commander deck for a few months and ive got it pretty close to where I want it. One major downside to esper is the lack of non artifact, land based ramping (a la Cultivate or Rampant Growth etc.) I have Solemn Simulacrum and Druidic Satchel but I had an idea for Aminatou to use the cards Political Trickery and Vedalken Plotter in combination with Aminatou's -1 and other flickerers in tandem to have them work as land ramp via theft of opponents. Is this something worth trying or too gimmicky for viability

Hey Bro I already upvoted your deck few months before, and I still love the fact, how much passion you put into that. I am not an EDH player but the flavor is awsome! In my point of view I would replace Recurring Insight with Mission Briefing. And what about Prosperity? In my point of view, Sorrow's Path would be great here in combination with Political Trickery. I mean Sorrow would definitely support your theme and is a very very punch in your face-card that creates a wtf-moment for your opponent. And it goes well with Opposition that you already use. Just wanted to inform you about this possibility. :D
