Thanks for having a look!

  • I considered Rabid Bite as well as Nature's Way but I chose to go with Prey Upon because it allows me to leave up the most mana going into the opponent's turn. That way I can be sure to have mana for Flashing in a Spirit of the Hunt or Pack Guardian. Still, may be worth testing since it keeps my own creatures from getting damaged.
  • I think Nissa could be good, especially in deck spots over some least-preferred 3-drop cards. Not sure I want to dive too deep into adding counters - I tried out a werewolves deck trying to take advantage of Silverfur and Lead by Example but many times I was just left with a handful of spells and no creatures.
  • I like Root Out over Appetite for the Unnatural as well - the Clue seems much more valuable than the life (especially since we're usually the aggressor). The reason I chose the other is because of the Instant speed. I wanted to have the ability to pass and let my creatures flip. Sometimes the instant speed works out in our favor. If the opponent taps their creatures to Crew a vehicle, we can take it out in response and leave their guys helplessly tapped. I chose to go light on the Natural State because it fails to hit Aetherflux Reservoir, a card I have seen a lot during testing. I think running a mix of all 3 could be fine.
  • The extra Silverfur in the sideboard used to be in the main and I traded it out for a Pack Guardian. Not quite sure if its a great switch just yet. I like the extra creature rather than the spell simply because I don't really want to dilute my creature count and have draws where I'm holding lots of dead spells. Though, I think Blossoming Defense is a great card and maybe I'll test it out.
  • Shrill Howler has been awesome against Ishkanah, Grafwidow and other chump blockers like Primal Druid, Glint-Nest Crane, and servos/thopters. I used to be excited about Larger Than Life until I realized that its not quite Titanic Growth. We have to play it before combat and I'm just not sure I like committing to my combat tricks that early :P Trample is fantastic but becomes a bit redundant if there's already a Howlpack Resurgence out. Ghirapur Guide is neat but I'm worried it costs a lot of mana in this deck.

Thanks again for all your suggestions - I'll try and test them out and let you know if I decide to make any changes. I hope you decide to give the deck a try as well!

pbharris3,
This is super-clever. Kudos for the extremely original take on Werewolves!

A few quick thoughts:

Please keep us posted on how the deck does in testing and IRL!

Kudos again, and draw well!
