It should be noted, FormOverFunction’s expressing concern over Cursed Rack, a card that shows up in only 494 out of 2,362,993 decks on EDHREC (0.02%), is not a exactly a real concern. “Might someone target me with an inexorably rare form of punishment?” should not factor into your decision making - particularly when your decision is “Should I run a terrible card or should I run a good one?”

The only downside to top is that I use “who played top first” as one of my triggers for choosing which player to target with single-player torture cards like Cursed Rack.

jaymc1130: You know, come to think of it, now that I have had time to sleep and I'm not overly tired and amped from a VERY long day's work, lol, I think I have some better suggestions to give you! Not in the form of specific cards, necessarily, but more overall strategy. So Tinybones, the only thing he/she cares about at all is discard. Discard and an empty hand. An opponent's discard generates value for you, and a empty hand (mid to late game assuming you have hit all your land drops) is your win-con or at least an alt-win-con. What cards are legal in cEDH that care about those two states: empty hand and discard? Also, your opponent in response to hand-hate is going to try to refuel with card advantage. Can you punish your opponent for that? Now, can you do those things in mono-black? If so, you might be able to construct a Tinybones deck using him as a commander. If not, then you will need to at least splash other colors and use Tinybones as a wrench. As it turns out, there are some artifacts that I think can help you: Cursed Rack forces your opponent to discard down to at least 4 cards potentially triggering Tinybones. The Rack on the other hand, deals damage to your opponent for casting out (or discarding the last card). So if you want to use Tinybones as a commander, you need to look at synergizing what he cares about with other card choices as much as possible. Simply triggering a discard isn't bad, but if you can manipulate your opponent into choosing between 2 bad options that is what makes for a difficult game and satisfying victory.

No the Renaissance printings count as uncommon. Same with Cursed Rack as a common.

- Avarice Amulet > Folio of Fancies (Just a better card in this slot, cheaper cmc and will do more for you overall)
- Seer's Lantern > Mind Stone (Cheaper cmc mana rock)
- Rakdos Locket > Rakdos Signet
- Izzet Locket > Izzet Signet
- Dimir Locket > Dimir Signet (Signets are just much, much better)
- Cursed Rack > Mountain (Cursed Rack is just average and very narrow in your deck)
- Sulfur Falls > Swiftwater Cliffs (Slight downgrade but saves $3.00 USD)
- Canyon Slough > Rakdos Guildgate (Saves cash, Canyon Slough enters tapped just the same, the reason this costs more $$ is because it has Swamp and Mountain in its land type, rare for non-basic lands, it means it can be fetched by fetch-lands like Bloodstained Mire )
- Revolutionary Rebuff > Arcane Denial (Counters any spell and adds some draw for you and opponent, which likely means 2 more damage for them too, an added bonus)
- Manalith > Wayfarer's Bauble (Manalith is pretty average at 3cmc, land-ramp with the Bauble is better in this case)
- Rakdos Cluestone > Star Compass

I would like to suggest any of the following: Reduce Thought Vessel by 2, Add 2 Cursed Rack, maybe some Temple Bells and if you wanted, a Library of Leng. And of course at least 2 Reliquary Towers.

Have you considered running Perplex? I run it in my own nebby deck: Look Mom No Hands. It's not the perfect counterspell if they have no other cards in hand but it can easily be transmuted away for another counterspell if the situation demands it. Also, Invisible Stalker + Whispering Madness is a great way to force those Liliana's Caress + Megrim triggers. One last thing, Cursed Rack really helps you limit your opponent's options. Deck looks great man, +1!
