After playtesting, I'm considering removing Bloodchief Ascension / Mindcrank. Its a cheap combo but really hard to pull off in CEDH. I want so bad for this to be a bracket 5 combo, but I think it is strictly bracket 4.

TheoryCrafter thank you for your input. Glad you like what I came up with. Yeah those more expensive dragons I will leave for later, first I wanna test the deck and see if I really enjoy it and if it works as intended.

Sivitri I had in the first version but I'll still consider her for an "upgrade", same for Monestary Siege.

As for other dragons with ETBs, I may change a few depending on how the deck performs.

Okay after experimenting some more I think i figured it out. It affected that deck specifically because of how big its maybeboard is, more cards than just the 2 mentioned are affected and all the ones missing I could identify start with letters close to the end of the alphabet (examples i found were V, W and X). So my assumption is the live editor stops loading the cards at some point to prevent loading too many images and it loads them alphabetically.
So its probably an intentional feature.

The cards Wooded Foothills and Zoyowa's Justice dont show up in the Live Editor.
On the deck page and the (text-based) Editor they show up normally and count towards the size of their respective category and the deck.
In the Live editor my deck size is missing 2 cards (same for their respective categories once sorted) and the cards simply dont exist in the deck, when adding them in via search they get added normally and when saving they do get properly added to the deck and show up normally (as additional copies) on the deck page and (text)editor but after closing and opening the Live Editor again they are once again completely missing there.

Here's a ruling from scryfall:

Dour Port-Mage’s first ability triggers whenever one or more creatures you control go to any zone other than the graveyard from the battlefield. They could be returned to your hand, your library, or exiled, for example. (2024-07-26)

So yeah, that works. Nice catch!

Klauth, Unrivaled Ancientfoil is made for Raggadragga. Also, Selvala, Heart of the Wilds, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Cradle Clearcutter are nice like Heronblade and Marwyn.

It's those scalable interactions I'm focusing on in Raggadragga Mana Saga deck, and I just realized that Wurmcalling goes infinite with those mana dorks! Now, to find something I can cut...

Ah, yes, I should qualify it in a couple of ways. First, I don't have a group to play with, I have one friend who mostly builds Tier 4 decks, and I have to tailor mine to be strong in the 1v1 matchup. Second, we both are cool with proxies; I don't have all these cards but I do have a laser printer. ;)

I see the benefit of the going wide in the attack with Sylvan Awakening - I have Liege of the Tangle in the Maybeboard for similar ideas, and I think if I ended up playing multiplayer, I would make a shift like this.

Similarly with Kozilek, right off the bat, the "two target players" is diminished in my circumstance, but again, I see the go-wide strategy as strong in the multiplayer. I playtested your deck, and I was impressed at the (colorless) mana available quite early, it rivalled the heavy mana-dork ratio in my own deck!

ArmchairRuler on Does Rayami, first of the …

From what I understand Rayami, First of the Fallenfoil has an ability that works as a replacement effect that when a creature dies, it gets exiled instead. Would this allow cards like Dour Port-Mage to trigger and draw me a card when a creature is exiled from my board to her effect?

Since you're CMC/MV is currently 2.23 (at the time of this comment), you're not running enough lands. Since your Mono-Black Midrange (Control-Aggro is another term for "Midrange) Deck is edging closer to a CMC/MV cost of 2.25, you need to be running at least 24 lands to play on curve. And arguably, you should try running 7-8 fetches. With typical Decks running a generic build/strategy like this, especially, in my experience, having 8 fetch lands present is more common than 7, I'd say. But this doesn't apply all the time. So, in case you're in doubt, 75% I'd run 8 fetch lands in a 24-land Deck, and 25% of the time I'd run 7 fetch lands in a 24-land Deck. Same rule applies (usually, but not always) in a Deck with CMC/MV of approximately 2.00, which is right around 23 lands. But in this case, you'd want to run from 6-7 fetches, with 75% of the time being 7 fetch lands, and 25% of the time being 6 fetch lands. For the record, though, I wouldn't put any fetches into a Mono-Green Stompy Deck, though.

Overall, though, if I'm being honest, the conceptualization is great. In my view, you typically want cards that have their abilities applied right away more than ones that just sit there and do nothing. So, I'd suggest 4 copies of "Gatekeeper of Malakir" over 2 copies. The next card, "Gifted Aetherborn", depending, I'd suggest that 2 or 3 copies would be good, but probably 3 seems more comfortable. Also, "Liliana of the Veil" can be an interesting take, I'd say 2-4 copies of that. But you might only actually want to run 2 or 3 copies instead, because "Liliana of the Veil" can seem more excessive than she needs to be. I think "Castle Locthwain" should always be at 4 copies, especially in purely black builds like this. Having too few seemingly doesn't nothing. Anyway, these suggestions are not set in stone, but in my experience, you don't want to be overflown with cards that do too little and underwhelmed by cards that can shake-up your opponent.

DarkKiridon on Raggadrazi

Long_Con Yours looks great! (and pricey!). Klauth looks fun to try whenever I obtain a copy but yes, mine is built around eldrazi spawns/scions in mind and I like to rotate cards in and out on occasion with my decks but I would be willing to try Regal Force

Sylvan Awakening is sweet tech with Raggadragga. They will be 4/4s instead of 2/2s and you will (most likely) get a free attack in with no worries (most of the time) from them being indestructible. They will also untap from Raggadragga and be able to block anything for a full turn cycle.

Kozilek, the Broken Reality is good in here. Buff up those spawns/scions a bit more and I'm also a fan of Glaring Fleshraker with Skittering Invasion

One card I think you should give a try is Hideous Taskmaster. I don't need to explain why haha.

TheoryCrafter on Death from Above

You've built this deck about how I'd do it. Using the omens and the adventures for early game control and card advantage, dragons with etb triggers to concentrate on instants and sorceries that give you card advantage, and an alternate win card to end any stalemates.

With the Exception of the mana rocks, Ancient Brass Dragon, Ancient Silver Dragon and Transcendent Dragon, the only cards I'd add from your maybeboard are Sivitri, Dragon Master and Monsatery Siege. Anything beyond these should be more dragons with etb and attack triggers.

You did a good job. May you draw well!

TheoryCrafter on Ajani and his pride

Because you have two copies of Ajani, Strength of the Pride(which creates Ajani Pridemate tokens) and a full set of Resourceful Defense(which has both a triggered and an activated ability), my recommendation would be to remove one of each and add two more copies of Oketra's Monument. Either that or replace some of them them with Shrine of Loyal Legions since you have only 14 creature spells to trigger Oketra with.

Have you considered The Birth of Meletis? While it may not have the staying power of Ajani's Mantra or the flavor, it will help to make sure you have a supply of Plains and some life triggers.

Also, I would recommend changing the tab from Standard to Legacy or Vintage since many of your cards are not Standard Legal

I hope this helps. Thank you for reading me out. Happy Hunting!

Nice deck, I have a Raggadragga deck as well!

I have found that Last March of the Ents and Nissa's Revelation are extremely good when you have Ragga and a scalable mana dork like Marwyn out. Especially Last March, as it can look at the mana dork's recently +7 toughness and draw cards off that. Then you hit a couple of 7+CMC cards and combo off, ending with a +28/+28 mana dork with trample and a battlefield of beauties!

Raggadragga Mana Saga if you'd like to check mine out. I'm focused on the ideal mana dorks, and comboing up 7CMC cards with scalable dorks like Heronblade Elite, along with card draw (like Regal Force) and the baddest threats.
