This is a modern Rakdos Control deck. The main idea behind the deck is to control both the board and the opponent's hand using discard/burn, and finish off with fat flying creatures.
For turn 1, we have 5 spot discard spells (Duress and Inquisition of Kozilek), which I think that should be enough to have one of them in my starting hand for most games (I won't buy Thoughtseize).
Turn two I can either burn a creature, or simply cast Magma Jet on my opponent just for the scry. Magma Jet is a great card, I wish I could play 5 of them.
Turn three my options are to play a Vampire Nighthawk to slow down my opponent's attacks, or even cast Blightning if he/she is not being aggressive. Also, Anger of the Gods is there if there are already many pesky little creatures. If The game pace is a bit slow, I can cast Phyrexian Arena so I can set up for the longer game.
Turn four is where the real fun begins! I can drop my boys (Mogis, God of Slaughter and Desecration Demon), or cast a slaugher games if I'm playing against combo.
Also note that with a turn 4 Mogis, I can hit 12 damage on turn 5 by playing a Demigod of Revenge.
I feel this deck is quite solid, as it can deal with weeny, combo and control decks without major problems.

in my sideboard just in case my opponent is not playing many creatures, so I can put some pressure early game.
